This was a punch you in the mouth game. But most of the punch came from Dallas. Washington had 2 great plays that kept them in the game. The 1 handed catch by Reed and the TD catch by Jackson. Desperation situations that paid off for the team. But once again when Dallas got the ball back, it was clear Washington wasnt stopping them. At no point did i think Dallas wasnt winning this game.
IM going to start with a player that broke out IMO yesterday, Damien Wilson. The guy was the biggest reason the run got shut down as the game went on. He was the guy laying the boom on the run game Washington was trying to force early. He has that size to be able to handle the run, and i think the coaches saw it because after Durant got hurt it was Wilson in the game on them nickle downs when we would normally see Hitchens in. That hit on Kelly that literally stopped progress was one of them hits you flinch when you see it.
Dak didnt need to do too much but when they needed him he showed up passing and running. The guy is right at the top of the MVP talk IMO. Of course im biased but even so i think he is the leagues MVP. He's endured so much as a rookie and made it all look so minor.
Dez Idk what to think about all this talking. I was watching NFLN and when they actually started talking bout it i changed the channel. I think thats what i think about the nonsense. This team is doing so good right now that thats not needed. He had a good game and probably wouldve been better off to just let it go and move on to Minnesota.
Injuries are starting to pile up in the secondary. Hope they start to bring some bodies i for insurance. McFadden is a big liability.
Dallas has alot of young parts on the DL but not alot of players who are going to force any team to gameplan for them specifically. Dallas has 1 player who is consistent every week in pressuring the QB and he doesnt even start, David Irving. But other then him theres nobody that is pressuring the qb and making plays behiund the LOS every week like Irving is. Lawrence was never going to make a impact this yr with his injury and his suspension. I think he will be alot better in 2017 being healthy. Think Thornton needs to be getting more snaps. The best pressure inside is when he and Irving are in there together. Think Dallas needs atleast 2 DEs in this draft and maybe another DT.
Dallas losing Wilcox was big yesterday. He was making plays in pass def as much as anybody. He seems to have improved the most of anybody on this defense.
People talk about TW and his inability to use his hand to catch instead choosing the use his body to trap the ball. But i dont think anybody in the nfl is better at being able to tight walk that sideline and catch a pass.
