Dak played as good as you can expect. Didn't play preseason and hard.y played before getting hurt week one. And still he played better and showed more accuracy than Rush did at any point this season. He had some dimes that just shows the talent separation between a starter and a backup. He's going to only get better and the talent separation is only going to be seen more. So end the whole Rush thing. We saw the rpo plays just work better with a qb who can keep the dB and LB thinking of a qb run allowing Schultz to get that first down in the flat and down the seam. Yes he did some fundamentally flawed attempted throws but what qb doesn't. It just happens, but it's dak so it gets over blown in this forum.

What in the HELL is Moore trying to do? He is the worst play caller in short yardage situations in the history of the game. Dallas had just got done running it down the lions throats for a touchdown and the next drive on 3rd and 1 he runs a shotgun formation. I hate this guy. I wish the stadium would start a fire Moore chant. I seriously do. He is what's wrong with this team. Dallas could've had 250 yards rushing if this idiot would've just ran the ball until the lions showed they could stop it then he would e had the passing ga,e he wants.

Today we saw why Pollard should never be a starter. He can't run inside unless the defense is blown off the ball. He can't get the tough short yards. And this is overlooked but he cost dak a rushing td. Dak rolled outside and had only Pollard guy in front of him, if Elliot was there he would've taken his guy down into the end zone freeing up the space for dak to walk in, Pollard just sits there keeping his guy in front of dak and he goes out of bounds. It's the little things but so important. He's a great change of pace but never should start.

Noah brown killed 2 drives. One the first one that could've given dak some confidence early on the first drive. The ball was a little high but no reason he could catch that easy. 2nd the fumble which would've been a td run for the team on his fumble. He had an up and down game cause he did make some very nice catches too.

Steele I think might need a benching. It just seems like every time there's a penalty it's him. Give Peter's a start and let Steele think bout it.

What did I say earlier this week about the Def. They give up empty yards, and that insane passrush gets beat with a screen from time to time. The lber pursuit rather than the dl is what's giving up these runs. Vander esch just can't consistently find the runner. I'd like to see Clark get snaps next week.

Shame to see Lewis go down, taken out by Vander. Was Vander who came in low and hit Lewis in the knee.

The passrush again killed the offense. What can you say but wow when these guys just come in waves. 2 groups of dl who get pressure on every play. Sam Williams killed it today.

Today was a tough good win. Detroit has a bad record but they're not a bad team.
I certainly respect others "thoughts" and opinions, but so much that I think is way off base here. I mean really, really off base. But too much to mention without derailing the thread...

half correct i do agree that th Ol struggled against the lions Hutchinson 1-1 kids good needed to put help occasionally out other i mean 73 had just as many issues .. steels been good this year so NO benching Peters is too out of shape and slow to take over regular role. right now. but the penalty's kill drives.

I do agree, yes, Short yardage to use 21 as a stretch guy and Pollard as the up the middle guy and too many outside calls on short stuff made me angry, was like yup Moore back at being too cute for NFL football.

.IMHO KM is our Achilles heel MM needs to take more control, somewhat like calling that TO and kicking that first FG i think he heard the play call and said EF NO! TO kick if. Smart i agree FG should have been a no brainier.

Browns our 3rd WER at best expecting him to make those plays a little harsh, yes they can be made but that fumble was a Life decision natural to freak out of you are flipping 3 feet off the ground and about to land on your head. frustrating yes, that 1st and goal with chance to steal momentum and you gave that to the lions.

Throwing into triple coverage on at least two throws? What was that?

Much to unpack here

But saying the game proved we should ‘start’ the guy that averaged 3.9 ypc vs the guy who averages 6.8 ypc. So dumb lol

Almost all of pollards big runs have come inside and he regularly pushes the pile. Zeke is definitely better at getting 1-2 yards when nothing is there (before pollard gets a head of steam he is easier to bring down)

Another Dak jock slurper thread
Dak was great
Everyone else messed up

Dak made several stupid throws into TRIPLE coverage that he was lucky the Lions dropped

can’t make this stuff up LOL
Yea first half he made some boneheaded throws. He did calm down in the 2nd half. He did have a couple drops by the receivers. Moore is another issue too. But your not wrong on Dak , especially by he first half

It's really not overblown at all. Today was a clear picture that he can't get the tough yards
I clearly saw Pollard move through piles of defenders at times in recent games. Not to the degree that Zeke would and can, but to state that Pollard can't get tough yards is brutally unfair. I also have seen him shake off tackles when he is motoring. He is not just a speedy finesse running back and at 6' 210 lbs. he is fairly stout. Zeke is 6' 225 lbs.

We were fortunate not to face Swift and St Brown. Those two guys make the Lions offense flow.

I went back and looked at his stats (attempts/completions) in those 5 games. The OP is accurate in stating that. Barely. But it's accurate.

So dumb: those stats tell you nothing about accuracy. They simply give you the number of attempts/completion, and don’t even try to say something dumber like that can reflect accuracy.

I think we need to re-think our passing attack. The TE group is currently better than the WR group and the play calling should reflect that. That's not to say we don't have talented wr's it's that we definitely don't have Julio and Megatron. Good DB's are smothering us. Adjust the playbook and accommodate the TE's and RB's.
We saw this in the TE drive last week I think against the Eagles. Almost every pass was to a TE and we moved right down the field -Then we left it!

Nothing? Lol And I'm the dumb one...?

If Dak had went 0-25 instead of 19-25, you Dak haters would be saying his accuracy was terrible.

Because the truth hurts?

A 76% completion percentage today. Rush was at 58% overall and never had a 70% game. And Dak was throwing deeper, 10.7 air yards per attempt vs. 8.0 for Rush this season.
A higher completion percentage does not mean better accuracy, buddy.

A higher completion percentage with more air yards per attempt strongly implies better accuracy. And nothing about the eye test argues differently.

I agree 100% about the TEs and the type of WR's we have. Should be featuring the TE's and hitting the WR's on the move, slants and lots of crosses. More of the 15-yarder to Shultz.
