My Thoughts .500

Bill Belichick would be an idiot to come here to work for the grand puppeteer.

Belichick is retiring with the Patriots IMO. If he ever was to go to the Cowboys it would come with major strings attached. The latter is never going to happen anyway.

You lost me on Dak is one of the best QB's in the NFL.

Anyone that really believes that I just cannot take seriously. Time & time again he has proven to be average. He does NOT suck. But he is not one of the NFL elite QB's either. Hopefully & maybe in time he will become great.

mack has been the best since he came into the league. saying his numbers are after he got paid is stupid. Lawrence is coming off a surgery. Lawrence has been playing very good since 2017. Leading the NFL in sacks and being the rated as the best DE vs the run. He's down right now because he's coming back from a injury. An injury he played with last yr. You couldnt do what he he does with 1 arm with both your arms, couldnt do half or even a quarter or even a 10th. The injury and he's still doubled religiously by other teams. He's giving Quinn a big pay day.
As stated, coming back from a injury he used as leverage to get paid, if he hadn't delayed, he could've had a full training camp. Classic case of fall off after getting paid

This 3-3 is frustrating. But for me its not a glass half empty situation, for me its frustrating because this team should be 6-0 in my eyes. They shouldnt have one blemish on this record. IN these 3 losses the coaching and play calling has cost them 3 losses. Sure the defense have given up more plays then they have in the previous 3 yrs in 6 games. But there have been situations in the last 3 games that have cost them 3 wins. Wether it be dumb challenged(Garrett) or just flat out bad plays being called(Moore). You can even add bad ref'n at the end of games. Dak and the offense just need to not let the game get to this point where they allow the coaches or ref's to become a factor. Nix the slow starts and you control the game from the opening whistle.

I read posts and threads still questioning Dak. There is no questions, this guy is one of the best QBs in this league. If you hate him then hate him im not even gonna try and change ur perception. He's the least of this teams problems.

Now i read more posts and threads about Pollard should be getting more snaps lol. No he shouldnt, Elliot is and should be in there doing what he does. Where before we were spoled by the best interior OL in the NFL. This yr we have a Zack Martin playing thru a bad back and you can see hes not anywhere near 100% and then you got Frederick who is getting better the more he plays, but the real problem comes at LG where Wiliams is showing he;s not a G. He should be groomed to be the next LT. He has some very good footwork to play outside, but he just doesnt have the strength to play inside. IMO i think Looney should be starting at LG. Reward him for what he did last yr.

I have no idea how Lewis is not playing more, and how Heath continues to start. Lewis game up some catches but he also made that INT. The more he plays the better he will get. I think we might have a chance to see him play more with Jones and Brown hurting.

These DTs are absolute garbage at times right now. Other times we see them getting after it and making big plays. They need consistency and they just dont have a player inside who plays this way.

Demarcus Lawrence just doesnt seem to have full strength yet. He just doesnt seem to be able to get that leverage yet. He probably shouldve started the yr on the PUP but with that contract i dont think that was an option on his side. Think too his decision to wait on surgery was a bad choice on his part.

Robert Quinn is a monster. he's tied for 5th in sacks in the nfl in 2 less games then the leaders. But hes getting better looks because teams continue to double Lawrence. He's ,aking himself some money this yr tho.

Vander Esch seems to have regresssed a little. He's getting juked this yr by RBs. But for the most part all the LBers are struggling a little because the DTs cant keep OL off them.

I think something needs to be done with the coaching. Richards is a problem, KInd of reminds me of Rob Ryan and stuck in his ways, and looks like its all a rah rah speech with him and preching more his his ways rather then adjusting to whats happening ingame. JUst drilling into players that his game will work because its worked in the past. Instead of adjusting to whats happening in that particular game.

I've been saying it Jerry might be looking to make a splash in 2020 but not on the player side. But the coaching side. Bill Belichick is going to be available in 2020. It was thought he signed an ext this offseason but it was 8mil dollar raise for this yr. NO secret everything is not all roses in NE with Owner, Coach, and QB. Dont be suprised to see Jerry take that step back to get a guy who will get a SB for him. And at the same time weed out some of them dead weight players on this team.

Ive seen alot of "fans" already giving up on this team. ITs a sad sight, and this is what Stephen A Smith talks about within the Cowboy fanbase. These types of fans prove him right. Dont be one of these types. Root for your team win or lose. Dont ride the high horse when times are good, but walk with your tail between your legs when the times arent rosy. And dont use the its been over 20 yrs and you had enough. So you would rather be miserable for 20 yrs then to be misery free by not waiting for something you dont think is going to happen? Not a healthy life choice.

Be a FAN, be a DALLAS COWBOY FAN win or lose. Enjoy yourself watching this game and this team. :star:

The give up part is that its a realization that were not true contenders. So maybe making the playoffs and getting bounce in round 1 or 2 simply doesn't cut it anymore. This team is going NOWHERE. Stuck in stupid.

Quinn is a great pass rusher, but he is horrid against the run. This was told over and over again in the preseason, but most failed to listen. He is part of the run stopping problem.

People can do whatever they like. They certainly don't need advice from you. You do what you want and stop telling others how to root.

This team has gone as far as it can go with Garrett and loads of talent. The guy sucks and we will go nowhere further with him as HC.

You lost me at 6 and 0. Did you only see the 4th quarter of the GB game? Because they got smashed for 3 quarters. Please stop with that.
Did they? Cowboys moved the ball but untimely penalties killed their drives. And what i saw in the GB game was alot of holding calls on GB went uncalled right in front of refs. PIs not called on GB right in front of refs. This has been the case since 2014. I have to ask you a serious question. Did you even watch the game to not notice these missed calls?

As stated, coming back from a injury he used as leverage to get paid, if he hadn't delayed, he could've had a full training camp. Classic case of fall off after getting paid
So ur telling me you dont see him being double teams still?

Mind you im not disagreeing that hes struggling. What i am strongly disagreeing with you is why and how he's struggling. Teams are still game planning for him and taking their chances on quinn rather then Lawrence.

Dak against the Jets gave me Romo 2011-2013 PTSD. He was great. The team was not.

So ur telling me you dont see him being double teams still?
I laughed at that stat....teams are stupid to double team him. Average tackles are beating him. It's his faul too if he's hurt. He is the one who delayed his surgery by three months. That told you all you need to know about him.

They should be 3-3 because of how they have played...they don't deserve to be 6-0. Parcells said it best, you are what your record is. They are an average football team. They will probably be a losing team after Sunday night.

rah rah rah tired of the last twenty years these are not the dallas cowboys any more they are the jones cowboys

Not a serious football organization. This is a Jones family vanity project and branding exercise.

Winning football is secondary.

I dont think Dak is great but i know hes not the problem. Dak would be a mvp already in the NFL if he had a coach of the likes thats Brees, Brady, Mahomes, Wentz, and Goff have. We have seen Wentz and Goff with bad coaches and they were horrible. Wentz couldnt complete a pass over 5 yrds and Goff couldnt run a offense thats predicated on reading a defense without a tremendous amount of presnap movement.

Yup. I really do think Jason took the playbook out of Kellen's hands after three weeks.

Lol, if Dallas replaced Garrett with Belichick it would be the greatest thing to happen to this franchise since the Herschal Walker trade.

Yeah and the three wins were cupcakes. The rematch with the Giants could easily have a different outcome.

You think that sunday performance from Prescott should be considered Great? He was high all night, he threw the 2 pt conversion into the ground essentially.

Outside of one throw which dez and romo got crossed up on Romo was actually really good that night against a very good jets defense, much better than this one. Romo's mistake that night was the ball popping out of his hand inside the five when he went to the ground trying to get extra yards....that happens sometimes.

It's hilarious seeing people portray Romo's career in their ignorant light on this board.

What? Wentz is playing for the same coach he has always played for. What are you talking about? are you talking about DePhillipo and Frank Reich?

I think you are umm confused about something here.

Getting down early and leading the team back in the game? Yeah-that reminds me of the 2011-2013 Cowboys.
