My thoughts against the Giants

I see many of folks here blaming Dak only. While I believe he played poorly so did the entire offense.

OL.....played ok in the first half but was terrible in the 2nd half. Dak had constant pressure and Zeke had rough time gaining yards without being hit in the backfield during the 2nd half. Dak needs not hold the ball as long as he does to help the line out but they should be great and not get bullied by undrafted players.

Zeke.....2nd half.....9 carries 21 yards is unacceptable. He needs more then 9 carries in the half especially in a tight game. You spend multiple first on OL and a 4th pick overall on a running back you play him and not sit him on the bench for Dunbar. Zeke and the OL couldn't get in rhythm in the second half due to play calling and giants stacking the box

Linehan.....seeing a tight game, rookie QB struggling, OL struggling, RB not getting room you have to help them out. These long developing routes does no good if Dak has pressure in his face. Sometimes Dak just made a bad throw but pressure was coming on 3 man front sometimes. You shouldn't have your QB throw almost 40 times. In 2 games against the Giants you throw the ball 100 times.....you wanna know why we didn't beat giants neither time? You went away from what was working to get pass happy.

Dez and the recievers.....Dez you are being paid as a top WR, you on twitter kissing Odell back side and having a good old time. 9 targets 1 catch 10 yards, cause of interception, lazy route running led to another interception, and a fumble with a little over 2 minutes left in the game. You have to be better or give that money back. T Williams was the best reciever we had tonight, he caught passes, scored a TD and was very efficient blocking. Beasley was ok but thought he had a few drops and run a couple bad routes thar resulted in an incomplete pass. Butler was a non factor, he had a chance to be the hero and dropped the TD. Was pass interference that wasn't called but you can't rely on refs.

Bailey......not sure what happened there and he makes so many and is so accurate but in tight games he can't miss those FGs. I have no fear that Bailey will be right and get back on track this week.

TEs.....Escobar had some good blocks. Witten did his thing but all these guys need to run past the first down before looking for the ball. Tired of seeing guys, recievers too, go 2 yards short of the first on 3rd down.

Defense played great, Carr was beat twice by Beckham....1 for a 4th down conversion and the other for a 61 yard TD. Not sure why Carr covered Beckham but he doesn't have the speed for that. Scandrick also have up a first down catch on 4th down. People might not admit it but Claiborne and Brown are our best corners. We have to draft another CB in the draft no question. But overall the corners played well, looks good when you get pressure

Safeties played very well. Church missed 2 or 3 interceptions but not holding it against him because of the cast. Jones was coming up and making tackles on the backfield and at the line of scrimmage all night. Heath got a massive stiff arm by Beckham. Wilcox needs to get healthy.

Front 7......played very well. They lived in the backfield all night. Eli throws quick buy the front 7 harassed eli and made it difficult for him to get going. Thornton is improving each week and Collins as a rookie is becoming a monster. Glad to see Mayowa get anther sack but DE is a huge need. Sean Lee is the best player on defense and might be best LB in the league. Hope Jaylon comes back healthy with Lee still playing at a high level.

Jerry Jones.....please stop the telling about Dak and Romo. This kid doesn't need anymore pressure or thinking the owner isn't behind him.

Overall our defense played playoff caliber defense. If our offense would look some what like they have all year we don't lose another game. This loss sucks but with some adjustments...cough.....Linehan....we can improve

agree with most of the above. However this statement is kinda stupid:

Bailey......not sure what happened there and he makes so many and is so accurate but in tight games he can't miss those FGs.

Bailey missed his only field goal of the night and it was 55 yards and banged off the crossbar (dead center). The ball in that weather is like kicking a frozen rock. You can blame a lot of things on the loss with most of being DAK, but Bailey shouldn't make this list. I also thought the playcalling pretty much sucked and Dez was probably the worst he has ever been in a Cowboys uniform.

Its been a good season so far. It was a chilly and both teams made errors holding the ball.

What may be concerning though is the trend to less and less offensive effectiveness over the last few games. A loss is OK our SB teams took late losses and bad ones at that; but trends of ineffectiveness dont usually occur with SB winning teams late in the season. But anyway lets stay positive and roll up those sleeves get get the nose to the grindstone.

Not everybody on the list was blamed for the lost. Again Bailey needs to make that FG and usually does.

We have plenty on tape to correct. Can't get comfortable so that's the only good thing

Zeke and the defense played great. Receivers and Dak didn't show up.

We have not looked great for almost a month on offense and sadly it's happening when the defense is playing it's best ball. I'd personally throw Romo in for a spark at this point.

What's crazy is how accurate bailey is in assessing his range. When they were looking to get in fg range, the sideline reporter said she talked to humans that he thought he could hit from 53 yds either way with about an extra yard or two in the current direction, and he gets just enough leg to barely miss from 55. That's pretty wild

Apparently, he told the sideline reporter that he was good from about 53 yards, based upon weather/stadium/pre-game warmup. They said this before the attempt. That was a 55 yard attempt. He gets a pass

My thoughts in five words or less: This game was not a priority for the Cowboys.

Agreed. He called his shot. 53-54 tops.

I just thought we would be better prepared after 10 days off. We were not ready in some areas.

Perhaps the preparation was directed elsewhere? That's my observation from the vanilla offensive performance last night.

How bad would it have been to bring in Romo on those last two drives...and we win!? Haha that would have caused a media explosion!

His career long is 56 yards and that was in a dome. Me thinks you are wrong in this particular case. Agree with the rest of your post.
I'm not blaming Bailey for the lost......you can't miss FGs in tight games especially in playoffs. If he can't make it then we need to punt

He actually said from that direction he could add a few yards.....if he couldn't make the kick or didn't have the confidence then he shouldn't have attempted it. Nobody gets a pass, a loss is a loss.

Punt with 2 seconds left in the half?

This was one of those cases where they just give it a shot and pray that Bailey makes it. Its like when you throw a hail mary. You don't blame the qb when he gets an INT or incomplete when he throws up a hail mary, you just hope for the best.

But either way, I agreed with everything else in your post as well. I was yelling at the tv wondering why the heck was zeke on the sideline in crucial moments. Was he banged up?
