This embarrassing football is on the coaches. You just lose probably the one guy who transforms your offense into something special for 6 weeks, what do you do? Nothing, you keep running the same plays that are predicated and centered around a guy who can take it to the house on any play from anywhere on the field. Only theres 2 things wrong with that, he isnt on the field, and the opposing team knows he isnt on the field. So they bring everybody up closer to the LOS because they know your offense doesnt pass down the field much even with said playamker. What happens? The flats are covered with zone(Beasley INT). And the middle is one big mess because theres nothing open. You can run on teams because your OL is really good, but the RB doesnt have the ability of said playmaker so they will let him get his 5-6 yrds. But when that 3rd and 5 come you arent going to make that first because they know u dont have that special player and your offense is predictable. And its predictable even with said playmaker but he commands that respect to keep the defense honest. Now they can cheat in coverage, and they can bring that extra man up against the run.

Thats your problem with the team right now. These coaches havent changed anything. Theyre running the same plays that work with the defense playing honest, but dont work because the defense can cheat. And as im typing this Garrett is on NFLN talking about they have lost players in the past and they just had to plug in guys to keep moving forward. This is the mind frame of these coaches. Knowing that they just lost a once in the generation type talent and say something stupid like they just need to plug in the next guy.

Now the game and those who are talking about Dak was exposed. Aikman was exposed when Emmitt held out 2 games and Jerry went and signed Emmitt quick. Romo was exposed when they lost Murray.

If you bothered to watch the game you will see Chargers played zone exclusively. They dared Dallas to run and they didnt. Dak had very little time to throw. The coaches need to open up the playbook and allow this offense to open up. Elliot isnt going to run on the field, and the sooner they deal with that the sooner they might be able to come up with a way to move the ball with a different philosophy.

I really dont even want to get into anything else because what these coaches are doing right now is disgusting.

Great post. It's amazing how losing Zeke has killed this team on Offense, but it's true. Zeke is the only player on this team that scares defenses. Who else on this team does that? Witten, Beasley, Dez? Defenses don't have to worry about doubling WRs or defending deep passes since our WRs can't get that deep since the line won't hold. Defenses only have to defend against the short pass which is exactly what we do. Now we have Dak pressing to make plays and is making mistakes. Add to it, the team has lost focus and heart.

Most logical assesment I have seen on this board. Makes you wonder why this thread isnt getting the same activity I am seeing the from the threads that are not logical.

Quit throwing jump balls to Dez. He is 1 of the last 25 on those and some have been perfect throws.

I'm rooting every week for a loss until Garrett is fired. This team is going nowhere this year or next year with Garrett. Dak is regressing because of coaching. You can see Dak's confidence going into the s**ter. This is all on coaching and not making the adjustments needed.

Well last year I was saying Zeke was our MVP all year, even when some didn't like it.

Makes me think of what Nate said about Emmitt, 'we were a bunch of fat guys til he showed up'. Well our OL is still pretty good, but Zeke definitely makes them look better although I do wonder why they wouldn't give DMac a chance since he has actually had success for us back there with them. Another brilliant coaching move right there.....Morris stinks and Rod Smith is Troy Hambrick.

If Jerry can't fire JG, then he probably needs to fire himself cause he's too attached to the situation.....just saying.

I think they could move the ball if they changed the philosophy some. That TD by Prescott caught the Chargers by suprise, nobody knew he had the ball until he scored basically. Not even the camera man. Just bad luck Smith was holding. But its stuff like that this team is gonna need to do with Elliot out. Think outside the box, but im starting to get the feeling they dont want to do anything like that.

Then i think to myself, are they tanking? Because its crazy just how bad its getting.

He is what Randy Moss was at the end of his career. You throw it to his back shoulder and let him get his body between the ball and the the defender and take whatever he gets after. Or nothing at all. Him being lazy or his injuries catching up to him. Whatever it is, he isnt the same player of just 3 yrs ago.

It is as if this coaching staff stepped out of a time capsule sealed in 1965. Only without the toughness coaches had 50 years ago.

Don't worry. JG finally figured out how to win without Romo after 6 seasons. Give JG another 12 years and he'll figure out how to win without Zeke and Lee.

Yeah, hide the ball every play. Sounds like a plan.

They can hide it in the endzone. Nobody is going to look there. Dak hasn't thrown a TD in 3 games. And just 2 in the last 5.

Well it is pretty clear all our eggs are in one basket on each side of the ball (Zeke and Sean Lee). We won't win another game without one or the other back, that much is certainly obvious now....
I dont mind a ride or die with ZEKE but lee is another story. The man is more brittle then the xmas balls i will be unwrapping tomorrow. I love LEE but what good is a player if he cant stay on the field for any length of time.
