Was only a matter of time before McFadden was going to show up. Guy is really talented, and running behind this OL would be deadly. People were bashing him because he wasnt producing but they have to remember he was injured to start the yr. Thats been his thing his whole career. But i think he will put it together and light teams up in Dallas. Thats blitz pickup he had in the NYG game was a picture perfect too.

Cassell is the right guy for this team while Romo is out. He was rusty and he was getting acclimated to the system. First game action for this team he did good. he isnt going to sling the ball 40 times a game probably not even 30 even when Dez comes back but he doesnt need to.He needs to limit them INTs. But he showed poise and the throws to get this team some spot wins.

Dallas might something in Butler, but he needs to keep it consistent.

Dallas started the game with alot of imagination in the playcalls on offense but it seemed that when they started to run at will the imagination left the building. They seemed to have gone vanilla in the passing game and wanted to rely on the run and whatever they got from the pass was extra. This coaching staff is its own worst enemy alot of the time.

This OL is starting to come together, and the missing piece IMO was a healthy Doug Free. The OL has been asked over the course of time the most important piece and they always say the vet, Free. He's the leader of that group. And he looked healthy this past week and it showed.

Greg Hardy is a beast in every sense of the word. Even without any other help he is getting pressure and sacks. The guy blows plays up with power and technique. Signing him should be a no brainer for this team.

The defense as a whole is very good. of course there are still weaknesses, and right now its the S' and creating turnovers. But its hard to get turnovers when refs are taking them away with reviews. And the whole "no football movement" bull. And its hard when QBs are dinking and dunking on you because youve taken everything else away. This def is a top 10 defense. Imagine what they would be if the offense wouldnt be sending them out there on multiple back to back 3 and outs.

Sean Lee is a tackling machine, but you can see he's not the same player range wise post ACL. He's still a monster in the box, but he's not going to give you the same coverage he did before.Thats just reality of ACL hell.

Claiborne will be resigned and make some nice money in Dallas. The guy is a shut down guy. Some will still deny it, but the guy just shuts down everybody thats on him. You literally have to break the rules with pick plays to get his guy a catch.

Byron Jones is not a starting outside CB in the NFL. Thats not a bad thing, his best use would be a FS. He can cover TEs and tackle. Slide him down when you need to. But in 2016 he should be your starting FS. Thats just my opinion tho.

I've done two ACLs and a scar tissue clean up on one knee. It doesn't affect speed at all if you rehab your legs right. And I"m sure Lee's rehabbed his legs right.

Plus, we saw him first hand be about as explosive as he's ever been v. PHI. I'd agree that he hasn't been an impact player the last two weeks, but I'd say the reason is something else and not a physical limitation. It's probably related to playing alongside Rolando McClain, judging by the timing of things.

Thanks for the write-up LM. Agree on many points especially on Hardy, Mo Claiborne, Byron Jones being Dallas' starting FS (except as Alexander said he should start there now) and your assessment on the defense as a whole being very good.

I agree with most everyting.....although it was the Giants. And the Giants arent a very good football team.

Lets see the same production this week. And I will be nmore confident in it all....

So far, Mo' is having a good year. Hopefully it isnt just a contract year kinda of thing....

Hardy is a beast.

I liked what I saw out of Cassel. Despite the INTs.

Mcfadden finally showed up. Again, it was the Giants, but you cant argue with his production. I am a person who believes, if you have the right guy back there, you need to feed that one guy, most of the carries. I do not like the RBBC. Yeah sure, give the guys a break, but for the most part, get your main guy in the game with lots of carries.....

Cassell is the right guy for this team while Romo is out.

I dont agree but he is all they really have. If I am Seattle I commit to shutting down the run and have Cassel and a bunch if average receivers beat me if they can.

So ACL repair affects your judgement?

He should be starting at FS right now.

He should, but I think our staff likes him on TEs. The matchup with Graham will be another TE he'll have under his resume. In all, he does need to slide into the FS ASAP.

the giants were avg giving up only 93 yrds a game. their run defense is very good, they were ranked 8th

They are 18th in rush yards per attempt. They are 23rd in yards against per play. So no, they are not very good. At all...any aspect of their defense.

Martin looked like he did last season for the 1st time.

Leary was terrible when he tried to play through the Groin injury. Collins was a big upgrade over an injured Leary.

Hanna was a big part of the run blocking last season and he return after missing some games.

Having Cassel at QB helped back the defense off against the run.

There is nothing to indicate that Jones can't play CB.

If you go 1 by 1 through all of Claiborne's snaps this season it's a mix bag. He had the most fails of anyone on defense in the Saints game.

I have not seen any sign of Lee having limited range. He was a bit off mentally in the Giants game a couple of times and he's been conservative since the concussion issue.

He should be starting at FS right now.
He played more snaps than Church in the Giants game and he played 97% of the snaps in the Pats game. Wilcox only playef 1 more snap than Jones on defense.

I think if we were winning there would be a lot more accolades rolling in for Claiborne. Having gone through the same injury he did, it is quite amazing how well he has played his season. I was skeptical and didn't think he would do well at all. I'm glad I'm wrong.

"Amazing things" happen in contract years all the time

Just look at Spencer, Carter, Murray, and many many other examples

A player is who he is over his body of work not his contract year

I'm letting Mo walk after this year unless he comes with a MAJOR discount

These are just my observations but Seattle will run straight at us like the (success of) NYG last week. We have good lateral moving LB's (per the eagles game). Lee and RoMac can stop most everything from side to side however we have yet to answer the run game coming straight at us. I'll be the first to say that Lee is challenged here (with a gut run) as well at RoMac. I think Lee is just too small and be effective against runs up the middle. He's a guerilla LB who needs to be running after the play, not waiting for it to come to him straight on. It's not all on Golden Cock as many like to suggest as well.
Your comments on MoClai way off (in my book). He has little physical finesse with receivers and either gets lost or grabs hold for a ride hoping there are no penalties. He's just looks like he's off balance with no confidence playing the player or position. He's also a poor tackler (along with Carr) and looks lost in zone coverage. Want to watch great technique CB's, watch Jets, Broncos, Minnesota, Carolina. Those are beasts. They play just physical enough without getting hung up on the receiver or losing them when the ball is in the air.

Not that I know of, but maybe that's one of the side effects and my judgement's no longer good enough to tell the difference.

I hear it's crippling to the sense of humor, though. Speaking of which, how's your rehab going?

Need a tissue?

Okay. And anyways, like I was saying, he should be starting at FS.
