My thoughts on the team before the Draft

I get it, about Elliot, but people seem to forget how young these players are. Remember the dumb things you did when you were that age? I couldn't imagine how much worse I could've been with tons of money. He will come around. It just takes some time and the right atmosphere. You live you learn. :)

You know, I hear this but for me, I really didn't do dumb stuff when I was young. My dumb stuff is when I was old enough to know better.

Everyone is different I guess but young people can do the right thing also.

Defense centric draft this year is a must. 1st pick must me the best DE or CB on the board. 2nd pick can't be as big a gamble as has been the past 2 years. 3rd pick might be offense but I'm hoping all 3 first picks are on the D.

I expect Linehand to have a playbook catered to Dak's skillset. Dez needs to be more involved and with a run first attack, Linehand need to be more aware when the opponents defense is keying on Zeke and leaving the receivers virtually uncovered.

Im starting to think if Watt is there, he will be the pick. I dont like the pick but the kid has got something they are after and that a motor that never stops. Could remind them of Lee's love for the game.

I hope we draft Tyroil Smoochie-Wallace at # 28. Quisperny G'Dunzoid Sr. would be a good second round pick. Both are great prospects.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I'm really crossing my fingers for Sagitarius Jefferspin at 28.

Dallas went from bottom of the league to middle of the pack in 1 yr in sacks. There are multiple people getting to the QB right now and id rather have that then 1 guy with alot of sacks. They just need to be more consistent. I dont think its the players i think its the coaches affraid to give these players a crack at it. Instead relying on wounded vets like Crawford and Lawrence. This defense was on fire when these two went out and the young guys were cut loose. Add in two more guys to this group in this draft and let them develop with game reps.
Agreed
But Rod also has to use a more aggressive scheme

But rod needs to cut all of them loose more often look at Green Bay it was like a tale of two halves.

Yeah, that would be a good pick, too. I'm hoping that Quisperny G'Dunzoid falls to the 3rd, although someone might him him in the second.

Actually GB did very little from the 11min mark of the 2nd quarter. If you remember the game its kind of hard to cut loose if ur having big penalties putting ur defense in bad spots. That happened all game. Once Dallas was able to come back you saw the blitzing you saw the sacks. It was no coincidence when that picture of GB OL holding Irving came out, the following week GB had holding calls and couldnt block anybody right?

Whatever it was, GB wasnt caught all game vs dallas for holding. And some were out in the open clearly seen.

What i was saying is i dont think Jaylon can take on a block of a 300lb man and hold it. I dont think he will ever be able to.
The thing about this is, that even before the injury Smith was bad at shedding blocks. It was genuinely one of his weaknesses as a prospect. He's genuinely a guy that you want moving in space alongside a bruiser who's going to get their hands dirty against the run.

I sent the team an email earlier this week begging them to take Watt in the draft. I really hope they do.

can any 250 lb linebacker hold position when being hit by a 300 lb O lineman? At least one of decent quality?

Actually this is a good point. He can run and cut from his videos. but can he take the pounding required to play at a high level, or even decently.
I will hold off any judgements until I see it. But my thoughts are that he can, but just not to what people want. Not right away.

IM not a fan but i see him never stopping during the play. He'll literally go across the field to run a guy down
I'm just joking, but it is funny how consistently the media falls into using the references in that article on Watt.

Because Atlanta came out and said something about holding......I believe it was Atlanta I can't remember.
