Parcells, Gibbs, and Vermeil have played conservative football their entire careers.

I dont think that this was a setup type of situation.

I agree with CB and others in Parcells has to have a running game and that means getting JJ back into the mix. The Lions obliged by self-destructing and by better running by JJ. Hopefully we are blocking better as well.

I think we get wrapped up in stats and how well the offense is doing and how well Bledsoe is passing. But this is a play action passing attack and that means you have to run. We cannot afford to put the game on Bledsoe's shoulders constantly because we need an honest defense otherwise we will not be able to protect Bledsoe with our OT situation.

Teams that run and stop the run are almost always in the game. Add a good offense that can put up 25+ points per game with this defense and we are a team that cannot be overlooked.

Let's hope Henry is back and the young guys continue to improve. We need better run defense on our left side. Fujita is not up to par IMO. Very down on his play recently in run support and containment.

I hope we get better containment by Ware as well although I see him improving. I hope Fujita was hurt some or had a bad game or something other than not being tough or physical enough.

Fujita was hampered with an ankle sprain....I can't provide a link..I either read it or heard it during the broadcast last week.

Yes I am expecting more from Ware as well

one of the most encouraging things i've gotten out of the last two weeks is the dearth of penalty flags illicited by the Cowboys.

Dallas is beginning to exhibit the earmarks of a disciplined team.

and if they start clicking on offense (healthy julius and eminent return of crayton can easily key a resurgence) - they will be scary good.

I dont' think it was a set up to run the ball as much as we did. 2 things to remember, one has been pointed out about running in cold weather and getting our running attack on track. The other rather obvious reason, was Drew was dinged early in the game. Hard to have a wide open O when your QB is not playing well. I do hope Drew is 100% today and we come out smoking.

Does anyone think that Parcells called a ultra conservative game against the Lions to set the Bronco's up for some surprises? I think for one that we wanted to establish the run based off the Philly game to show that we could still as a team rush the ball effectivly...but more importantly to send smoke Denvers way. If you look at Shannahan and how he is a master of play-calling...maybe Parcells wanted them to have less plays or useful film to look at. I have to admit I was happy we won but very disappointed in how we played against Detroit. I believe we will see the same Cowboys that came out againt Philly when they were in Dallas. Quite frankly thats the team we are going to need to win tomorrow...THOUGHTS ANYONE....am I good or is this just my useless thoughts?????? GO BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't you think Shannahan would just look at the film from the first Philly game?

Lol. I just love these "Parcells is holding things back" posts, they're so rediculous. I think Detroit's defense had alot to do with our offensive play calling. Bledsoe had no time to throw.

The Lions D was partly the reason but I do think Drew was still a little foggy from the hit he took eary in the game.

I hope Parcells was holding something back because we need to do some scoring today if we are going to be victorious.

Teams are starting to exploit our Offensive line. Flozel is much more important than we thought. We had to help Petitie which was working ok, but now we are trying to overcome a weakness with both tackles. On top of that we are getting sub-par play from AJ up the middle. None of this is new to anyone here, but if the cowboys go into this game with the same performance from our line that they did the last two weeks, we will lose badly.
If they protect Bledsoe, and open up some holes in our running game we win. Bledsoe, Glenn, Key, Witten, and Julius will make the plays if only our O-line holds up.
Prediction
-Without Singleton, and possibly Henry our defense allows 17 points today.
-Our Offense picks it back up Broncos 17 Cowboys 24
