Most of the resources have gone towards the offense, so they are expected to shoulder the burden. Even without Romo, 19 points is pathetic and the defense did what they had to do. They gave the game to the offense twice with a chance to win in the 4th and they crapped the bed.
This is a defense with a few suspended players and still held NY to 20 points, they did their job. I don't agree with anyone who says this is all on the defense. They failed once in the 2nd half, that is much less than the all-so-poweful offense.
Yes, the defense is bad but we can't expect much more from this group. This is on coaching not knowing how to scheme around a rookie QB and setting him up to fail.
So what if they gave up the lead in the 4th quarter, the defense did give us two chances to win in the end.
