Totally disappointed in the coaches. Disgusted is more like it. Every single one of them.

Offense coaches: NY is coming up to stop the run and not even hiding it. Simple fix, run a playaction. Run a playaction to Witten up the seam no the out. Get them out of the box by moving Dez in motion on a quick inside slant. Beasley on a inside slant. 1 step and let it go. The easy things these coaches make it look so hard. I know theres another team on the other side, but this is what NY did to Dallas and go figure it worked. Sterling ate them alive inside.

Defense coaches: Marinelli the starting DL was very good the first drive then you just replace all 4. And NY find the holes. So basically ur running ur 3rd string DEs as backups because ur starters are suspended and hoping thet can fill in because ur backups are now the starters? You stop the giants with press coverage but go back to zone and NY scores easily? Marinellis response to the rotation on the DL was that he wants to keep his DL fresh. They were on the field for 10 plays in the first quarter.

Dak played like a QB playing ion his first game. He wasnt great but he wasnt bad. He took what was given to him.

NY took the run and the sidelines away from the team. With the amount of cheating in the box Dez still couldnt beat anybody? Couldnt get open? Theres a problem there. Too many drops and too many bad routes by this group of WRs,

Why Dallas refused to use a fullback with Elliot in the game i have no idea. That is what gave Morris his success. Very bad coaching day for this team.

Scandrick was the target for the giants. He basically gave up every pass rec on the giants first scoring drive. And when they needed something it was like they targeted scandrick. Again first game back but its clear he lost a little speed. Claiborne is hands down Dallas best DB. A healthy Mo is a nice addition and you can tell the difference from him being healthy to him having them little nagging injuries. Byron Jones is playing multiple spots on the defense because he can play all the spots, So its not Wilcox taking his snaps its the team using him differently.

If TW gets out of bounds Bailey wins this game. That being said this team lost by 1 to a very improved
giants team. Win this week

I completely agree that moving Dez around and also using some play action would have helped.
I suspect they thought they were protecting Dak due to his inexperience under center, but he had success in the preseason with some limited play-action.

Not sure about "took was given" as there were plenty of down field opportunities and single coverages. But I agree on the performance as a 1st game rookie.

hadn't noticed Zeke never having a FB...interesting.

OScan got torched a few times

If TW gets out of bound, there is about a 10% chance that we win the game with a non-altitude aided NFL record 63+ yarder. at best 10%

Bailey was on sunday. That 56 yrder wouldve been good from 65. It was right down the middle.

This should be titled, "My thoughts - where I walk back my saying Dak takes Tony's job and Tony runs out of the stadium in tears".

So you're saying he could have not only done that kick once, but twice.
Very, very highly doubt it.
But we'll never know, so no big deal.

It's not like we weren't running playaction the Giants just had excellent defense and beat our OL so bad we couldn't run anymore

100% in the same court.

Agree with pretty much everything else but if your going to throw Twill under the bus you have to do the same for Dumbar imo. Also check out theebs thread from earlier. Prior to both those plays Dak could have hit a wide open Cole or a five step open Dez. I'm sure the coaches were telling him only ten yards and under Dak..this isn't the preseason. Even if they look open they are not. Hopefully this week there are some adjustments but how long have we been saying the same thing with this regime?

I am fed up with our routes not allowing for YAC. Most seem to be on a comeback or an out or a jump-ball. The only receiver that has a chance is Beasley and his YAC isn't that impressive.

My thoughts were we're seeing the same **** we saw last season. An inconsistent running game, bogging down in the redzone having to settle for FG's, bone headed mistakes and we still can't stop anyone with games on the line. What else is new! I said prior to the game we have to stay out of long down situations with a young QB. We were too far behind the chains most of the day. We're going to be involved in tight games all season and if our defense doesn't find some resemblance of a pass rush and we can't make critical stops to protect leads we're looking at another 4-12 season.

I think they had a governor on Dak all day and he played well within the confines they mapped out for him. I hope they loosen the chains some this week. I am not worried about EElliot I have seen his pedigree and it is special. Not many team will be able across the line beat this Oline like the Giants put out there on Sunday. Hopefully the Oline got the hint that they are going to have to work some this year. IMO the team played well enough to win, the WR's dropped some very catchable balls and Dak made some inaccurate passes and we were still in the game. There is no doubt in my mind those big boys up front for the Giants were going to wilt if we had kept up the running game in the second half. Easy to comment on after the game I know, the great and best news is Dak played very well for a rookie and did little to dispel the belief that we can cross out QB for the 2017 draft. I will feel much more comfortable after 4 weeks when we get some relief for the DE and the lack of pass rush.

I'm wondering why Zeke only got 1 pass out of the backfield. We just ran him into a wall the whole game. Last year dunbar absolutely killed the giants lb's which was a big reason we beat them. One of Zeke's strengths was being a receiver. What happened to that?

I mean I know Eli is hated here but he's respected. He's not a bad quarterback. You're not going to stop a guy of his caliber from leading his team down to drive. The Cowboys sat there with the ball last. That's all you ask for in this league. And the Cowboys got a stop when the game was on the line. They got them to point. Sure, they ran it down our throats unfortunately and that shouldn't happen.

I had the same question. Would have been great to see him operate out in space

All we had to do was hold them to a FG with just over 6 minutes to play and we would have maintained a 3 point lead but like always we can't keep anyone out of the end zone with the game on the line. This happened to us several times last season. The stop we made was when the Giants were trying to protect their lead by eating up the clock and forcing us to use all our TO's.

They played it safe to avoid a turnover and left us with just over a minute and no TO's to try and win the game with a rookie QB. If you're going to be a team that competes for SBs you have to be able to make stops in critical situations. What Eli and the Giants did on Sunday is why we've had trouble beating them in do or die games the past decade. Scoring one TD and settling for FG's the rest of the day isn't going to get it done!
