Dak showed some real improvement on his sights and decisions from 1 week to the next. When in week one he was going right to the dump off he was looking down the field this week and went to the dump off when nothing was there. Showed up big in the 4th when Dallas was down. I know alot of people cant wait for Romo to get back , but you dont bench Dak if this team is winning. Romo isnt going to be the same. HIs body isnt there anymore. While he may have the heart, his body is calling it.

Elliot improved this week too. Still this team wants to run him strictly in a shotgun formation with no FB no protection. They tried that with Morris too and he actually did worse than Elliot. This offense needs that FB to Get that LB. I dont see the thought process on this one.

Starting to think TW is digging his own grave. Beasley is starying to take his looks. Beasley is the biggest mismatch Dallas has on offense right now and nobody can stop it. Maybe we start seeing more Butler in the coming weeks. You can see the chemistry Dak has with Beasley and Swaim.

The OL is getting hammered right now with overloaded fronts. Teams will start backing off if Dak continues to pick them apart like he did to Washington late. Teams are testing this rookie and he's stood in there came up short week one and got it done sunday.

DEF is getting alot of hate but they've played really good the first 2 weeks. They've had lapses but what NFL defense doesnt in todays game. But theyve kept this team in the games both weeks. Its just the offense got it done one week and didnt in the first.

Morris Claiborne has come to play this yr. very much improved. If i was Dallas i would have him starting over Scandrick. Scandrick is still not right. I like the way Dallas is using Jones right now, but having Wilcox out there is scary.

If Dak continues to play like he has, you certainly don't rush Romo back. However, I have little doubt that Romo gives us the best chance to win if he's healthy, so you give him that chance. If his body is calling it quits, then we'll find that out and Prescott will be given the reins.

I like what Prescott has shown as a rookie QB, but it's easy to see that there were some opportunities to score that we've missed on because we haven't had Romo.

Romo for sure and guaranteed gets his job back and that is right. There is no QB controversy other then the boards.
We lucked out big time with the Dakota Kid and his time will arrive sooner then later.

I think the OL still misses Callahan and his influence on the running game. I think they only used a FB for 4-5 plays last game.

T. Will....

Part of me thinks the Cowboys kind of want to sabotage his season so they can sign him for cheap.

1) Jerry isnt going to pay what he is paying to have Romo ride the bench. Just wont happen. I'd prefer best man win but thats me. I think Romo is done physically but we'll see.

2) Linehan likes the 11 formation and apparently thinks it will keep defenses guessing on the run. Hasnt worked well so far. If the QB can stretch the defense down field the run will open up.

If Kirk Cousins wasn't such a trainwreck...they would have dropped 42 on us. They had 1st and goal on 3 different drives and scored a total of 3 points! This defense is NOT good. I live in the DC area and they were talking about how well the Commanders OL graded out this week.....but told the fans to take that with a grain of salt when you consider the DL they were facing. I will take a win. But my goodness....Cousins could have enjoyed a 5 course meal in the pocket.

On one of the Cowboys shows this past week. I think it was the Jason Garrett Show. They said in this offensive system big plays are. A run of 12 yards or more, and a pass play of 16 yards or more.
We have not had many of those with Dak. But we did have them often with Tony. Now Dak will get them, but he needs to get those longer passes going to open up the run. Then they feed off of each other.
This is were Tony makes that difference right away.

They did move Scandrick to the slot this week and give Claiborne the extra reps.

Which I think is a good move, but need to get it worked out now for better coverages. I think Scandrick it still working his way back into football shape, physically as well as mentally. For real time action that is.

The more they can limit him, the better. But he's still getting ~75% of the teams' snaps inside there. I was holding my breath all game last week because those Commanders WRs are a good group. Even Crowder's a tough matchup for a hobbled slot CB, and Scandrick didn't look close to right against the Giants. I'd have gone after him over and over to see what he really had in the tank, but it didn't seem like they targeted him all that much.

Do you think Scandrick will be close to 100% by the playoffs ?

It's weird that they're giving him a lot of snaps still if it's a hamstring injury. Especially because Brown's not a horrible option as a slot replacement. I'm not sure what's going on with Scandrick, but he definitely has not looked himself all preseason and here the first two games.

To hear him talk, it's just a nagging injury. If I have to bet, I'd say he's probably over it and back in football shape coming out of our bye week here, but who really knows?

We also need to quit with the MLBs getting sucked up on play action and leaving the hole in the defense right in the middle of the field. Not sure what's up with Hitchens this year, but he's worse in coverage than he's been previously. I'm hoping the light came back on for Durant last week and he plays all game like he did in the 4th quarter against the Sk*ns. If so, he's my Mike, and I let Hitchens sub in at both Mike and WIL and hope we get a bit better play out of the LBs. Assuming, of course, our DL can keep the linemen off of them.
