There is an extra LB when the FB is in the game.

yup and you being a all22 subscriber i thought u would see pretty clearly the differences in persuit from the defense in the two sets. When the fullback is in the LBers are in more as the focus is more inside. While in shitgun single back the LBers are spliting the field in half with the will playing more to the edge. With less traffic to get thru to make the play. Guess all22 dont work for everybody

Wilcox while not playing great or even good does look a little better than last year

I agree. I'm not sure if its because he's not out there as much or what but you see him pop up on screen every once in awhile making a play. Far more than he did last year.

I guess that all of NFL coaches that have made the FB position almost obsolete just don't have your magic ability to watch the All-22.

There are still teams that use the FB and use them as lead blockers. Granted no one is a pure power-I, lead FB team anymore.

I wouldn't think it would be that outrageous to run a few plays with a lead blocker for Elliott to see if we can get him going.

If the offensive rushing game improves it will be interesting what the effect is on both offense and defense.

This defense is an offseason away from being a potential top-10 defense.

I think you are already seeing it on the D side, except they are doing it with ball control passing instead of the rushing game. Can't do much better with TOP then they are currently.

Dak showed some real improvement on his sights and decisions from 1 week to the next. When in week one he was going right to the dump off he was looking down the field this week and went to the dump off when nothing was there. Showed up big in the 4th when Dallas was down. I know alot of people cant wait for Romo to get back , but you dont bench Dak if this team is winning. Romo isnt going to be the same. HIs body isnt there anymore. While he may have the heart, his body is calling it.

Elliot improved this week too. Still this team wants to run him strictly in a shotgun formation with no FB no protection. They tried that with Morris too and he actually did worse than Elliot. This offense needs that FB to Get that LB. I dont see the thought process on this one.

Starting to think TW is digging his own grave. Beasley is starying to take his looks. Beasley is the biggest mismatch Dallas has on offense right now and nobody can stop it. Maybe we start seeing more Butler in the coming weeks. You can see the chemistry Dak has with Beasley and Swaim.

The OL is getting hammered right now with overloaded fronts. Teams will start backing off if Dak continues to pick them apart like he did to Washington late. Teams are testing this rookie and he's stood in there came up short week one and got it done sunday.

DEF is getting alot of hate but they've played really good the first 2 weeks. They've had lapses but what NFL defense doesnt in todays game. But theyve kept this team in the games both weeks. Its just the offense got it done one week and didnt in the first.

Morris Claiborne has come to play this yr. very much improved. If i was Dallas i would have him starting over Scandrick. Scandrick is still not right. I like the way Dallas is using Jones right now, but having Wilcox out there is scary.

I say go three wide and run it more.

Not all.

There are still some teams who believe in it mainly because they have good ones. Like Kansas City, Houston, Detroit, Tennessee, Carolina, Atlanta and Baltimore.

The reason the position is becoming obsolete is that there is not a lot of good college fullbacks because it is being phased out in favor of the spread. That does not mean NFL teams don't necessarily believe in it. Many are trying their best to convert good college running backs/tight ends who can block and catch into fullbacks.

but this team has shown that a FB is useful to make a RB successful.

Thats what theyre doing and its not working. They need to do what they did to SEA with EE. Tgey had the FB in there and he was pounding them. Chancellor in particular.

Why stop there? Looking forward to seeing Lady Gaga at the half time show in 2017.

The reason they are running out of the shotgun is because Dak is apparently only comfortable throwing out of the shotgun at this point.

So they throw run looks out of the formation so as to not be predictable. It's another reason why I find it funny you day don't give Romo the job back when he is healthy and then you turn around and complain about a huge limitation in the offense due to a Dak weakness.

Romo is one of the 7 best quarterbacks on Earth. If he's healthy you play him. Why? Because he is one of the 7 best quarterbacks on Earth.
