First I’m going to start by saying I was a huge Micah fan from the time his name was read. But it was quick to see he was all about himself. Reminded me too much of Marcellus Bennett. Dallas is so much better off without he headache that Micha brought. And now we hear from players who say he is a bad teammate. Leaves teammates out to dry because we will go off on his own and disregard the game plan for his own numbers. I’m glad he’s gone, and this coming from somebody who when he first got to Dallas could do no wrong. Biggest flag for me is he always disappeared when the game was on the line. I never saw him make a play that changed the game.

Love the moves this team has made. IDC is they’re not the names that people will jump at. They seem to be targeting players who play smart and play the system. All I hear is they could’ve had this guy or that guy. So what they got guys who make plays by being where they need to be not freelancing. A lot of fans scream for change but this is a prime example that most fans can’t handle it because they expected it to be fixed by the 2nd day of free agency. Some of you need a clue.

I’m not going to pretend to know much about the game of the guys they signed but everything I read is that they aren’t stars but they’re guys who do their job and produce. Give me 11 starters like that and run with it.

Dallas has positioned themselves to do whatever they want in the draft. They can stay put and take the BPA, they can move up for a guy like styles, Bain or downs. They can trade down because teams are going to be on them OL that will be prime to pick when Dallas picks. Jerry and the Cowboys have killed this offseason so far because it’s boring. They’re filling holes they keeping their guys they want and moving on from guys that don’t fit. We haven’t seen a offseason like this in decades. There’s always been drama. It seems like media is trying to create some drama with click bait stories on who they should be after or could be after. Jerry and Stephen have been quiet for the last part and the media hates it because they don’t have the clicks because they don’t got Dallas headlines. I love it.

I’m hoping Overshown is back this yr he IMO is the guy who can change everything for this defense. I’d love for this team to team him up with CJ Allen. But I’d love for the cowboys to trade down both RD1 picks and keep drafting guys who can turn ur defense around quick and cheap.

There seems to be a culture shift and it’s evident because it seems like the coaches have more say. Schottenheimer is getting his guys and his guys are getting the guys they want. Not having guys pushed onto them as his been the norm in Dallas.

Get on board or go find another team. Enjoy the ride and let yourself be entertained.

1. Micah was an injury waiting to happen due to him being undersized and completely out of gas the last 6 games of a season. I knew he wouldnt hold up and said repeatedly he would suffer a major injury once he started his 2nd contract.
2. The moves are considerably better than the last few off seasons but I would have liked to have got one of the top lbers available.
3. No, Dallas has not positioned themselves to do whatever they want. There are still some glaring needs on the defensive side of the ball and LT (Guyton) + OT (Steele) are concerns.
4. Love to have Allen at 20
5. Do coaches seem to have more authority? Yes. Are we still one of the worst penalized teams in the league? Also yes. Not sold on culture change at all.

Tyler smith will be the LT this yr. Steele will be fine. The team has said they asked him to do stuff that worked against him Last yr. This yr they’re going going back to what he does best.

Dak had another career yr and Williams ran wherever he wanted. It’s not like the OL is a problem. Too much nit picking by fans. Just let them build watch the show and root for the team.

You’ll enjoy games much more

sadly the moment you said Steele will be fine you lost your cred

Just curious but which teammates of Parsons have spoke poorly of him? I haven’t heard any of that
I think that's primarily fans coping. If Parsons tried to do too much, it's because he didn't have much help. If he wore down at the end of the season, it's because he was asked to do too much. He's had some of the best pressure numbers since entering the league. A good DC with good personnel can make that work for the best of the team. When you have bad defensive tackles, though, like we did when Parsons was here, then offenses are going to attack your weaknesses.

I just got through watching a 1977 Cowboys game against Washington where the Doomsday Defense just dominated. Harvey Martin was the Micah Parsons on that team, but Martin didn't really make that many plays until the end of the game. He didn't have to because we had Randy White and Larry Cole and Too Tall Jones. We didn't need a hero like we asked Parsons to be by surrounding him with Mazi Smiths and Osa Odighizuwas and Chauncey Golstons. The only time we had a decent one-two punch is when both Parsons and Lawrence were healthy, and that wasn't often enough.

You can't be serious..... unless you are comparing the moves to a car that is going 10mph and after punching the gas pedal it only gets up to 20mph.

Jerry isn't going 0 to 60 and it isn't even close.

You may want to inform Tyler of his position change because he clearly stated he wanted to remain at guard.

Left tackle is a serious concern with Guyton not performing well and Steele is a concern as well

The cowboys have positioned themselves to take whoever they want?

How did you arrive at that conclusion?

They absolutely have to take a LB. They don’t have a choice.

I think our plan is to give Guyton one more try at it to show improvement. We know what Steele is and we can get by with him. But we also may continue to try to develop Nathan Thomas and even Ajani Cornelius into replacements. Tyler Smith would be the nuclear fallback, which may be why we put a second-round tender on Bass, just in case.

I think we go with this group for one more year before we decide if we have to make changes. And I can't really blame them based on offensive production. Of course, we all know that production could be better if we improved the tackles, and if we weren't so bad on defense, we'd probably do that.

I will never understand why alleged Cowboys fans take shots at players who gave it their all as Cowboys players. Then tell fans on the board if they don’t like it find another team. Then they ignore the fact that when said player leaves the Cowboys become one of worst defenses of all time but the front office continues to get a pass. Has the Joneses fired any of their top people after the embarrassment of the last 3 seasons concerning our drafting, player development, and free agent spending.

Parsons lashed out first, saying Lawrence's comments about not going to a Super Bowl in Dallas were out of frustration and rejection and Lawrence saying what he did was a "clown" move. Parsons actually was defending the team.

Lawrence responded, "Maybe if you spent less time tweeting and more time winning, I wouldn’t have left,"

That says nothing about Parsons not doing his job or being a bad teammate. It's simply him lashing out back at Parsons for what he said.

Now, Hooker criticized Parsons about podcasting, saying he needed to be more focused on team success and Super Bowl.

The only criticism I've seen about Parsons being out of position or trying to do too much has come from the front office when they were trying to make him look bad while feuding over his deal and deciding to trade him.
