Malcolm Brown, Dupree, Gurley (no Demarco), Collins and Erving for me. However I have a feeling most, if not all of these games save for maybe Gurley will drop that far so trading out seems like good strategy to me.

I think probably only Gurley and maybe Erving will be there from that group. No way on Dupree he's going top 12-15.

I like the idea of listing a handful of players I think the cowboys will draft going into the draft. Little early for me right now. Too many risers and fallers this far out.

1. Landon Collins: Collins isn't special but he is very solid and a better athlete than we've had at Safety. Was a SPARQ champ back in 2011. Has gotten bigger and stronger in college so needs no work there. Not elite in coverage but most teams were still scared of him in college. Day 1 guy. He's been mocked top 20 but I think his value is bottom r1. I think he could fall and if he does I love the positional fit. He could play either safety spot here and start at either day 1. Better than Church or Wilcox.

2. Bud Dupree: Pure pass rush type. Has gotten better and better over time. Needs reps. May not start as a rookie but he has a good upside. Better pass rusher than DLaw but a little less awareness. Would fill a big-time pass rush slot even if only in nickel year 1. In 3 or 4 years could be a Pro Bowl pass rusher.

3. Michael Bennett: 3T guy who reminds me a lot of Crawford. I think Dallas [c/w/sh]ould use him at SDE and get a nice bump there in overall play. Could rush him inside on the nickel. Dallas has had no issues finding 3Ts who can really play but Bennett is good enough to grab if is he is still there and work out positions later.

4. T.J. Yeldon: This guy to me is a DeMarco clone. He is a tremendous ball carrier who shows patience and strength. A tough guy who can handle contact and tends to play a little too upright so he can see the field. A lot of area to hit/grab/rip and he absorbs it so could be a fumble risk. Crazy strong stable of backs at Bama kept his carries thus wear and tear down. RB in round 1 is a tough go but we pick very late and Yeldon could be a better version of Murray in time.

5. La'el Collins: I would prefer not to go OL but this guy to me is a Cowboys fit at RT. He will get a lot of chatter about moving to OG but in Dallas he could play RT. Smart and a great leader. Fits what Dallas does with it's OL and the role they take as team anchor. I think his lack of LT fit could lead to him sliding right into our area. Could start at LG or RT as a rookie IMHO.

Good post, but I am very against picking Yeldon. I think you can get just as good, if not better, RB in the 3rd or 4th

Love the insight being offered in this thread. Thanks to all.

Pat Kirwan raves about Dupree and his ability to go from speed to power. Seems to like him a lot more than Shane Ray (according to Kirwan, a pure speed guy), whom many have slotted as an early first rounder. Sounds like a steal, were he to fall to 27.

Keep seeing comparisons between Landon Collins and Clinton-Dix. I'd gladly take a guy like that at 27.
