My trip to Dallas TX

The real question is did you get on the field and throw the ball around?

As incredible as the stadium is - it's the best part of the tour.

The Metroplex is a great place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there or any big city for that matter. I'm a country boy and so I remain here in central Texas where I can enjoy my open pastures and clean air but If I ever do want something from the city, the Metroplex is only a short drive away. I'm a season ticket holder so you know I make frequent trips.

My favorite part was laying down on the star in the middle of the field and looking up. That is a memory I will never forget.

Uptown is cool, if spoiled rich kids is your thing. Lol
Prejudiced and judgmental much?

But yeah, more people that have a job live uptown. So relativly speaking, more income on average.
More often than not college educated too. Work downtown, so less commute.
So there is that.
So if by "kids" you mean 23 years old and up (to 50s) and working for a living...yes.
Not sure how spoiled and rich comes into that unless you mean some SMU students or maybe Highland Park (not up town)

I dont live there, btw. Know plenty that do, or did in the past.
None of them were spoiled rich kids.

My choice would probably be to live in the country--mountains or beach or something. But I work in downtown Dallas. Oh well.

Wow. That really hurt you. I'm sorry.

I love uptown and the uptown ways. Great for partying and hanging out. It's also conveniently located close to North Park Mall which has some good shopping. Lots of good food options as well.

I love big cities! They fascinate me for some reason. Sadly, I have never been to Dallas. I hear though that it is just monstrous in size!!

Uptown is the cliche' that all the other cities think Dallas is, and it's not. The majority of the city isn't like that at all.

I live in The Old Lakewood area.
Love it

But Dallas proper (not even referring to the burbs or surrounding cites) has all sorts of great and interesting (in their own way) areas and neighborhoods.

Deep Ellum
Bishop Arts
Design District
Old Forest Hills
Highland Park
Preston Hollow
Uptown North
Old Uptown
Oaklawn
Turtle Creek
Oak cliff
Lakewood
Downtown
Prestonwood
And much more.

All have their own individuals with their own stories, their own restuatants and bars (old and new) and general personalities.

And they are all far removed from Jerry World or the Star

Dallas is nice to visit on occasion but I could never live there. My home has to be within 30 miles of the ocean.....lakes don't cut it for me

I need to be able to smell that salt air and easy access to the water!
