Bros, this feels like the last day of school. Will we keep in touch over the summer break?

I expect to lose this game. So I don't suggest this is the path to victory. Just part of the path to making it difficult on Tampa Bay.

I ask for two things this game. One on offense and one on defense. One they'll never do and one they might.

Let's start with the possible one. I want to make the old man move and in order to do that it means inside pressure. Not possible with our DTs. The cast of The Longest Yard was more talented. So we have to get aggressive with stunts and inside blitzes. Micah, Clark, Vander Esch, Barr, Kearse, Wilson, I want to blitz like we've never blitzed before. With that comes risk but it's one I'm willing to take rather than death by a thousand cuts as Brady surgically moves down the field.

The old man will move one way or the other. I would see to it as the defensive coordinator.

Now for the ask I'll never get. I want Ezekiel Elliott and his gargantuan melon relegated to short yardage and goal line only. I don't want to waste 10 plus downs on offense in this game to a glorified fullback. We don't have the offensive line to play smashmouth. I still want to run the ball but Pollard can handle the load.

The best way to avoid 2nd and 3rd and longs is to keep Prescott's life partner on the bench.

That's it. Just those two things. If the Buccaneers are going to beat us make them do it with Brady uncomfortable in the pocket and having to defend our best hand on offense. Nothing given to them. Earn the victory.

I don't think it's too much to ask.

Cowboys!

I'll see you in the Draft Zone after the game.

We’re going to find out what this staff thinks of Zeke and Pollard. Coaching jobs may be on the line and they aren’t going to play a guy just because of his name. If they really feel like Pollard is the lead back, I think you’re going to see it. Too much riding on this one game not to play who you think gives you the best chance to win.

At this point I don’t know what to expect. I have predicted a win, but I’m sure that’s the brainwashed part of me that I can’t get rid of.

A fair thing to expect may be Jerry to somewhere along the line backhandedly blame MM for not being able to do the impossible….which essentially is grab the attention and respect of the locker room and make them buy in…all while Jerry acts like Jerry.

If Mike wins with this team, I give him all the credit in the world, because it’s much more difficult to do under these circumstances…and I actually think he has done a great job thus far, considering, but for me if this team yet again somehow doesn’t show up in a big spot, I’m not sure what type of coach that Jerry would actually hire is capable of getting through to the team in this culture.

That’s the Edith Bunker version of….’if we don’t get beat tonight, it’s still coming eventually.’

I am far from a Dak apologist but with the result last weekend and the incessant negative talk this week, I just have a feeling that Dallas will come out focused. I expect Dak to have a solid game and we will run the ball efficiently. No turnovers. Dallas 24-14.
