Donald will be gone by 16, as will Barr. One of the top QBs is still on the board, so we are able to trade down a little bit and grab a 2nd and 4th. We still see no one we want and trade down a little bit more and grab a 3rd and 6th. Trade down in the 5th, add another 7th.

1 - DE Dee Ford - Auburn
2 - DE Scott Crichton - Oregon St
2 - OLB Jeremiah Attaochu - Georgia Tech
3 - OG Dakota Dozier - Furman
3 - OT Billy Turner - North Dakota St
4 - CB Phillip Gaines - Rice
4 - FS Ed Reynolds - Stanford
5 - DT Caraun Reid - Princeton
6 - OT Matt Patchan - Boston College
7 - RB De'Anthony Thomas - Oregon
7 - FB Trey Millard - Oklahoma
7 - OG Kadeem Edwards - Tennessee St
7 - CB Aaron Colvin - Oklahoma
7c- DT Zack Kerr - Delaware
7c- DT Ken Bishop - Northern Illinois
7c- DE Chris McAllister - Baylor

UDFA
QB Dustin Vaughan - West Texas A&M
QB Brock Jensen - North Dakota St
WR Erik Lora - Eastern Illinois
WR Torrence Allen - West Texas A&M
TE Nic Jacobs - McNeese St
OT Matt Hall - Belhaven
OG Trey Hopkins - Texas
C Matt Armstrong - Grand Valley St.

DT Chris Whaley - Texas
OLB Tyler Starr - South Dakota
CB Zachary McMillian - Houston
SS C.J. Barnett - Ohio St.

I do wish I could have fit Shazier and Telvin Smith in this one though

I like it a lot, but that's three DE's with the 1st three picks, I like Ford and Attaochu but they are both tweeners. I don't mind taking one, but don't know how I feel about taking two of them that early.

Terrific mock. Getting Ford, Crichton and Attaochu would be terrific. Attaochu might be the best of the 3.

You picked most of my pet cats. Attaochu, Turner, Reid, Millard, Kerr and especially Ken Bishop.

I might try to get a 4-3 LB in there somewhere. Maybe in place of Patchan. Attaochu is a DE for the Cowboys.

I was thinking Shazier instead of Ford.....he is a true OLB. Also, on my UDFA list, add OT Hawkins from Texas.

I actually would have rather just stuck with the 1st trade down and grabbed Shazier instead of Ford.

Shazier
Chrichton
Attaochu
Dozier
Gaines
Exum (sorry not a fan of Reynolds)
Reid

Just stick to 1 trade down and keep the 1st 5 rounds like that and it would be an amazing draft. I kinda feel like you drafted 2 very similar prospects at DE and OG/OT. Plus realistically only so many rookies are going to make the team, especially at certain positions.

Shazier over Ford...That would be a tough call.

Attaochu and Crichton give us the starting DEs we desperately need. However, we also need LBs. I think Hollow Man starts next year, but I was disappointed with Carter. Shazier pushes Carter hard for the other starting OLB spot.

So from this draft and UDFA we get the following players in

Offense (15: draft 6, udfa 9)
QB (2): Vaughan, Jensen
RB (1): Thomas
FB (1): Millard
WR (2): Lora, Allen
TE (1): Jacobs
OT (4): Turner, Patchan, Hall, Hawkins
OG (3): Dozier, Edwards, Hopkins
C (1): Armstrong

Defense (14: draft 10, udfa 4)
DT (4): Reid, Kerr, Bishop, Whaley
DE (3): Crichton, Attaochu, McAllister
OLB (2): Shazier, Starr
CB (3): Gaines, Colvin, McMillian
FS (1): Reynolds
SS (1): Barnett

the only position I failed to address was ILB......I guess Lee better stay healthy all season....LOL

wouldn't they both be OLBs or are you projecting smith to safety like some I've seen?

If we could guarantee crichton and attaochu I'd go shazier in the first

I believe Smith would be a strong safety......even if he could be a poor man's Darren Woodson, he would be better than any of our current safeties.

I like the Erik Lora pick. Might need some work but he's a potential starter.

It's fun to make the trades in mock world, and if this happened, I would be very happy with this draft...I just don't see all of that happening

I don't see any of this happening......but you are right, it is fun to play armchair GM.

Christian Kirksey OLB Iowa would be a good mid round addition. Not as highly rated as Smith and Shazier but he's a RKG type with good coverage skills. I think Thomas would be a fun pick. Unlike in the past Linehan may come up with some creative ways to use him.

Keep in mind that the SLB if off the field in the nickel which can be half the snaps in some games.
