Long-time Eagles enemy Jimmy Johnson tells Fox 29 the Birds will win the Super Bowl this season.

Johnson is the former coach of the hated Dallas Cowboys, but now, he has become a big Philadelphia Eagles fan.

In fact, Johnson gave a rare shout out to Philadelphia, yelling “how ‘bout them Eagles” to Good Day Philadelphia viewers.

Johnson says the Eagles have too many offensive weapons for their NFC competition to cope with.

Johnson also says Andy Reid gives Philadelphia an edge on the competition.
He predicts the Eagles will play the San Diego Chargers in the Super Bowl, with the Eagles bringing the Lombardi Trophy back to Philadelphia.

Johnson also told Fox 29 that Michael Vick will not be a factor until the end of the season.

How will they will with their OL in disarray? I expect Andy Reid to be exposed this season without the real talent of their coaching staff (the other Jim Johnson).

I think once McNabb has a bad game the calls for We want Vick will start raining down from fans and the media and would not be shocked to see Philly crash and burn.

I'm trying to figure that out as well. PLUS their TEAM leader is gone in Brian Dawkins. Also their MLB, who relays the plays on defense is out for the season. The biggest thing is how will McNabb respond when the fans start asking for Vick to start. I think it's going to be a long season in Philly.

You can whatever weapons you want, but when your offensive line is in disarray (and it IS), it doesn't matter how many weapons you've got.

And honestly, how many established weapons do they have?

I count two - Westbrook and McNabb.

Well, maybe one and a half.......

Really? I'd like to hear him expound on that.
we heard the same thing about New England in 2007 and they couldn't even win with all that. Philly isn't even close to the Pats in offensive talent.

Speaking of the Pats... How in the world are so many people picking the Chargers over them for the Super Bowl? The Chargers play in a sorry division and that should get them several easy wins a year, but that doesn't make them the best in the conference. Especially over New England. I truly don't get that.

Maybe Jimmy is just pimping them because Norv is their coach. But lots of other people are picking SD for the Super Bowl, too.

At least there was evidence of New England's offensive firepower. I don't see that with Philly. I didn't see it last year either and I don't think Vick will really be a factor.

Hasn't he been riding the Philly bandwagon for a while now though? This seems like something I've heard him say prior to this year.

I would have to say DeSean Jackson is a legit weapon and showed big play ability in his rookie season. I would also not sleep on Maclin even though he is a rookie. I do think Philly problems will be along the OL and I think a QB controversy could create a big problem in Philly

It all starts Sunday when the Panthers control the clock and run the ball down The Eagles throat. DeAngelo Williams will light them up for 150yds and 2td.

But they still have Jake the Fake at QB so if I was a betting man I would have to choose the Beagles.

I agree. the eagle run defense looks like trash.
