I wanna believe it was because he was on a Local Philadephia TV show. What else is he going to say?

I thought the same thing, but I'm not sure Johnson ever feels he has to lie. As a coach and commentator he has always seemed straight forward.

Every National Analyst who has been on a Philly Radio Show, Cable show or Local TV show has always said something favorable about the Eagles

Speaking of the Pats... How in the world are so many people picking the Chargers over them for the Super Bowl? The Chargers play in a sorry division and that should get them several easy wins a year, but that doesn't make them the best in the conference. Especially over New England. I truly don't get that.

Maybe Jimmy is just pimping them because Norv is their coach. But lots of other people are picking SD for the Super Bowl, too.

The Chargers are the sexy pick this year. In fact, they were the sexy pick last year, too (I remember many predicting a Dallas/San Diego Super Bowl). Something funny happened along the way. The Chargers limped into the playoffs despite playing in the weakest division in the league, and the only team to enter the playoffs with a non-winning record, and all of a sudden they are Super Bowl contenders for the 2009 season.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys (who finished with a better regular season record despite playing in the toughest division in football) have a quiet off-season, get healthy, address a glaring suck-hole at the safety position, and put an emphasis on spreading the ball around to a solid group of core playmakers, while also fielding the the best defensive player in the league and upgrading the spot left vacant by Zach Thomas are supposedly going to be lucky to eke out 9 wins. Riiight. Gotcha!

I'm with Hos, and many others on this board. Overlook us. Please overlook us. I'll feel pretty damn strongly that the majority of these "experts" calling for the demise of the Cowboys will be singing a completely different tune, come January.

Sounds like Jimmy is trying to get Reid fired to me.

Yeah, nothing like helping to raise the standard for Reid. That way, the fall will be farther, longer, and harder. Way to go Jimmie!

Jimmy was a big fan of Jim Johnson and his D schemes, which McDermott is going to retain.

But most of all Jimmy loves speed, and Philly has two young WRs w/plenty of it (DeSean Jackson N JMacklin). He has always liked McNabb & Westbrook but always pointed out that the Eagles lacked playmakers on the outside. Now they have homerun hitters at both spots w/Vick out of the backfield in special packages. What used to be a short passing grind it out the length of the field team, has now become much more explosive.

Potentially, anyway. On and off the field. :D

Forget Jimmy Johnson for a minute ...nobody knows who will take it all. Actually, I don't think anyone can "take it all." You Cowboy fans above everyone else (well except mayby the Pittsburgh Steelers) know better than anyone else that the SB Champions are not only made up of talented players, but a dash of good health, a pinch excellent coaching, and a whole heaping helping of how well the other teams play against them.

Many of you know that already, but for those who indicated their angst should know that everyone has the same opportunity up to this point!

Good Hunting!
