Seem to be interested in Edge early Burch has met with us Princely planned to meet with us this weekNot at all surprised our team is interested in him
So far it's heavy Edge and LB visits reported.I have had a feeling for a long time now Dallas is going to draft an edge player early. I think it is a definite need. I don't think they trust Sam Williams. I have a feeling DLaw is not coming back. and I think Golston is going to get a surprising contract offer from someone - like Washington.
Perhaps they go DE, DT in the first two rounds.
Keep in mind Williams is also in a walk yearI have had a feeling for a long time now Dallas is going to draft an edge player early. I think it is a definite need. We have some decent youth at the position, but we need a star. Sam Williams is a good one dimensional pass rusher, but he is heading into a walk year. Kneeland is a good energy player with good pass rush upside. Howeveris he going to be a starting caliber guy or a Gholston caliber guy? You add a guy of Mykel's caliber, you lock down the position long term and short term you have a nice menu of talent to put out thereHe kind of reminds me of Travon Walker... similar freaky size and athleticism, same read-and-react role in Georgia's system, same low stat production in that system.
Walker's ended up being a good pro. He'll always be compared to Aidan Hutchinson, and he'll never be that good. But if he was drafted in say the #5-10 zone, no one would have a problem with him.
Williams is a notch below him as a prospect, because every defensive end on the planet is a notch below Walker athletically, but I think he's a comparable type of player.
I wouldn't hate drafting Williams at #12. I think there's going to be a lot of similarly graded players there, and Williams definitely plays a money position. Green and Pearce would be my preferences at DE, cause I think they're better pure pass rushers, but it looks like Green's character issues are more than just smoke.
I could make an argument why both positions are a need for Dallas. But DT is more of a need and I fear they will wait until the 5th round to address it. And maybe there will be a couple of guys there that can help, but I hope they can find an impact DT this time.So far it's heavy Edge and LB visits reported.
He should have been drafted in that range, probably closer to 10.He kind of reminds me of Travon Walker... similar freaky size and athleticism, same read-and-react role in Georgia's system, same low stat production in that system.

I hear he played through injury most of the year and we know the scheme and rotation doesn’t help their players. He kind of reminds me of Travon Walker... similar freaky size and athleticism, same read-and-react role in Georgia's system, same low stat production in that system.

It's not that complicated...he checks every box you would want in a prototypical DE. 6'5, 260, 34+" arms, and an explosive athlete. The Georgia defensive scheme just doesn't produce stats for individual players on the front 7. I promise if Williams had committed to TN (or 95%) of schools you'd be very high on him.I see much better prospect and potential in James Pearce Jr. than Mykel Williams , why is there so much enthusiasm for Mykel?
I think Williams, Pierce, Walker, and the Texas A&M kids are all serious contenders to be the 12th pick. A deep defensive line of ends and defensive tackles is the way to go nowadays defensively. The Eagles have mastered that philosophy.I hear he played through injury most of the year and we know the scheme and rotation doesn’t help their players.
He’s one of my top targets at 12. We know he’ll be a stud run defender and I have a hard time believing his floor can’t be an average pass rusher with sky high potential.
