Myles Jack

Considering he is one of the top linebackers in the league when healthy, yea, they should keep him at WOLB for now.
Let's first wait till Smith is at or close to 100% physcially before thinking of a switch. Not this year.

I never suggested otherwise. In fact, I put in parenthesis that very thing - when Smith gets healthy.

My apologies. Think I got stuck reading both yours and Nightmans post at the same time and may of skimmed over that part.

We should go with Hitchens as the MIKE and Lee as the WILL for now

We can mix JSmith in at both but I would like to see him blitz more...... his pass coverage needs work

I'd love to have Landon Collins - the humble, Myles Jack, and Reuben Foster

Good lord !

All were draftable by the cowboys. That's the sad part

One of my favorites coming out of the draft. Would have loved Dallas to pull the trigger. Hindsight.

Just thinking out loud here.
With the failure of hitting on 2nd rounders lately, I might start considering that draft slot as trade up bait in the first round of the draft. Probably a stupid idea. Or is it?

It's not stupid if we hit on a great...I mean GREAT player.

However you, or the cowboys, would get crucified if we traded up and got an OK player or worse...ala Mo.

Then for years all you would hear is...we could have had, insert players name here, in the second.

I know the consensus is his not gonna have a long career. But man could we use a talent like that on this team NOW
It was a coin flip on Jack vs Jaylon.

Everyone expected Jack to be good early but not last long.

Jaylon was known to be a long term project but expected to have a long career if the nerve regenerated.

It was a reasonable gamble considering Jaylon's Doctor is on the Cowboys staff.

Even drafting Claiborne was a reasonable decision even if it didn't work out.

Drafting Bobby Carpenter, Shante Carver, etc.. were dumb decisions at the time and not just in hindsight.

Actually one of the dumbest decisions worked out great. They passed Witten in the 2nd round. I was screaming for them to draft him in the 2nd or even trade into the 1st to get him.

Drafting Tom Brady in the 6th was a dumb decision by the Pats because it means they passed on him 5 times.

The jury is still out on Jaylon. There is still time for him to become an impact player. Time will tell if the organization was right on him or not.
