Dez Bryant does it again, making yet another spectacular catch to the liking of a packed Alamodome.

With Anthony Spencer closing in on Jon Kitna, the backup QB launches a deep pass down the left sideline. Dez Bryant, covered well by Pro Bowler Mike Jenkins, accelerates at the last second and makes a diving grab.
---

Crayton goes to the ground to haul in a deep throw from Romo. On the next play, Sam Hurd fails to make a tough catch on a Kitna pass, letting the ball go in and out of his outstretched arms.

---

Felix Jones doing what Felix Jones does -- he slices up the middle of the line for a big-gainer. On the previous play, Romo was pressured and had to hurry an errant throw intended for Patrick Crayton.

---

Jason Witten false starts and is replaced by rookie Scott Sicko.

---

Romo connects with Austin again downfield. Don't believe a pass headed Austin's way has hit the ground today. The same goes for Witten, who gets a nice grab 15 yards downfield along the sideline.

---

Robert Brewster is getting eaten alive by DeMarcus Ware. On a recent play, Kitna wasn't able to get off the play because Ware was in the backfield so quickly.

---

Romo fires a pass too high for Roy, who gets one hand on the ball but doesn't make the catch. A few plays later, Kitna and Kevin Ogletree connect on a bubble screen, but Ogletree ends up coming up lame. He appeared to tweak a foot. He's currently along the sideline trying to walk it off.

---

Romo-to-Roy finally get going, with Romo sticking a nice pass in Roy's back pocket along the sideline. Orlando Scandrick had the coverage.

A few plays later, Romo tries to find Bryant but they appeared to be on different pages. Dez ran in, while the pass went toward the sideline.

---

After a brief break, team drills resume with Romo hitting Miles Austin over the middle for a nice gain against the second-team defense.

---

Stephen McGee lobs a deep pass to Jesse Holley, who created some separation from cornerback Bryan McCann, but the pass was slightly overthrown and fell incomplete.

---

Kitna connects on a bubble screen to Dez Bryant, who stutter steps at the line of scrimmage and blazes past Terence Newman.

---

Jon Kitna sails a pass a little high over the middle for Sam Hurd, who did get his outstretched hands on the ball but couldn't haul it in.

---

Roy not off to the best of starts -- he runs comeback route about 15-to-20 yards downfield, and is hit right between the numbers on a beautifully thrown ball from Romo.

Roy proceeds to drop the pass. The fans, as you can imagine, let their displeasure known.

If you're looking for a positive, Roy at least appeared to run a good route.

---

Romo goes deep to Roy down the sideline on the first play of team drills. He was blanketed by a defender and the ball sailed incomplete. "Bring T.O. back," shouted one fan.

On the very next play, he hits Dez Bryant on a post route for a 25-yard gain.

---

Alex Barron looks like a load to deal with in run drills. On successive plays working with the second team, he pile-drived a player backward several yards. Seems like the kind of player who "sticks" with a guy once he gets his hands on him. Also has blocked with a great deal of ferocity during this period.

---

Roy Williams with a nice, extended catch on a pass from Tony Romo.

---

Patrick Crayton with a lazy drop in passing drills, resulting in some expected groans from the fans.

---

Defensive backs begin with some pursuit drills, chasing down a giant medicine ball on the run, as if it were a fumbled football.

---

Cowboys' offense begins with some light work on a play that features Roy Williams and Dez Bryant outside, with Miles Austin in the slot.

---

San Antonio product Sam Hurd is back at practice after being excused from Saturday's session. As recently reported, he recently became a new father.

Players are in full pads today.

---

Dez Bryant is taking some reps as a punt returner in the first drills to start the morning practice. Also involved in the drill are Patrick Crayton and Titus Ryan.

---

Check back here throughout the day for live updates for Sunday's morning practice.

Oh Roy, Oh Roy.

You gotta believe that after the bye week the depth chart will read:

1. Austin
2. Bryant
3. Crayton
4. Ogletree
5. Williams

The first 4 have sooo much more that they bring to the table, it just doesn't justify Roy being any higher than 5 (except his salary - which won't win you any games).

Frankly, I'm shocked that he drops so many passes. That never seemed to be a knock on him in Detroit or college. I really think he needs to have his eyes checked.

I think he wears contacts

Do you think he just has the "yips" then? A lack of confidence or maybe needs more work on the jugs machine? I'm puzzled.

Besides Dez, it seems to be a pretty sloppy practice. Too many false starts, dropped passes and poorly thrown balls from what i'm reading. (yeah I know its early).

Honestly, I think there's a bit of paralysis by analysis going on. It's been only two practices and I've read some good things about Roy in those practices.

Doesn't seem like Roy really had that bad a practice yesterday and today. It's just that with the excitement of Dez and people's overall disappointment in him, there's nothing he can do right, right now.

Think about it. In this same blog entry, there's a note about Witten being pulled for false starting. That's just as aggravating to me as a Roy drop, because pre-snap penalties are the kinda things that can kill a drive. Nobody points that out, but it's quite annoying that an all-pro like Witten does it so much. And I don't mean FS, just his pre-snap penalties in general.

I'd say it's 100% the yips.

He got called up to the big leagues (dallas) and has all the pressure on him. Had he started out fast he'd be a perrenial pro-bowler for us. But he started slow and the fans and media were on him right away.

He is just over-thinking everything trying to make a play. Anyone on here who has played football at some point has probably had a spell like that. Unfortunately for Roy, it's much easier to get over at the level we all played compared to him, where the whole country knows he is struggling instead of just your team. It's REALLY hard to get over once you start thinking instead of just playing football. It seems really easy to just take a break and come back ready to redeem yourself, but as we saw with Vanderjagt and others sometimes it never comes back.

I'm still not counting him out but it certainly doesn't look good.

I think the division scouts will be right, he ends up as starting LT at some point.

Sounds good for a player whose effort has been questioned in the past.

Robert Brewster is getting eaten alive by DeMarcus Ware.

Thank God Jerry made the Barron trade and din't try to go into camp with Brewster as the primary swing tackle just because they used a draft pick on him last year.

It's not just two practices. It was all last year as well. I hear ya about Witten's false starts; that drives me nuts too.

Alot of people get eaten alive by Ware, but was this guy a G or T in college?

Last year was last year and he most definitely had the yips.

But we're only talking about the two practices now and people's reaction to it. Roy doesn't get a completely new slate, but it's a new year. I'd love to take his offseason preparation and the generally solid reports about them into consideration before saying same ol Roy.

Whatever. I was talking about a continuing problem.

Not thrilled to see Witten with a false start but it's just practice.

Although he had a lot of false start penalties last season.

I know you were. And I'm hoping that last year's yips don't carry over.

Ijust think it's too soon in TC to be going same ol, same ol when the reports about him aren't necessarily bad.

But you're right, it is watever. We'll see on game days.

I've never seen such a phsyical specimen at offensive line in person like Barron. He looks like he could play tight end. The arms hang down almost to his knees. I could see how any offensive line coach would fall in love with him as a personal project, teased by what he could do with that kind of physical specimen.
