If dollar amounts are supposed to be indicators of how good someone is you should try giving Nate Clements and Albert Haynesworth a call, both of whom were given ludicrous contacts and turned out to be ****ty players.

Nate Clements would've been nice on our roster.

it is not all about the stats (i.e., sacks) that makes you a good player. for example, look at nmadi...he only had 3 ints last season. it is all about the skills that you provide to the scheme.

Exactly, he won't be a glorious player. But if he does his assignment, normally he'll be fine. And these DEs help the outside get pressure. And stop the run. That's pretty much been their role in the 3-4.
