Make Zeke Great Again.

Time to turn back the clock to 2016 and prove that last year was an aberration.

Jonathan Cooper was a bust for a reason. He's quick but a big softy. Better than Chaz green who is both soft and slow, though.

But now we have Connor Williams who could be the next Zack Martin. An upgrade over Leary, for sure, who wasn't bad when he was here. And yes, we're keeping Martin, next year. Best OL in the NFL for the next 10 years.

Make Zeke great again!

I get what your saying but let's not a like 2016 wasn't the easiest schedule dallas has had in 12 or so years.

Disagree... it was only considered "easy" after we gave them beatdowns.

We beat Green Bay in Green Bay. (No Dez)
We beat Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh. Epic game.
Cinci was still considered a good team at that point in the season.
Baltimore was considered a quality team with an elite defense.
We played in a division with 3 winning teams and the 7-9 Eagles who played well above their record despite missing key OLs (foreshadowing!)
We beat the Commanders twice, despite them having the #1 vertical passing attack in the NFL.
We beat Minnesota in Minnesota, who were still fighting for a playoff berth and had a top 3 defense.

Like any other year, we had some easy ones... Cleveland and SF, but even Tampa was a dogfight that year they were decent. It was NOT an easy schedule. 2014 was easier, if anything.

No excise for Zeke not being great. Hopefully his mind is clear, he comes to camp in shape, and he gives max effort instead of trying to coast. Behind this line he should be sniffing 2k yards barring injury.

He had one awesome season so far. The term great should only be used on the very elite imo. While he clearly is in the upper tier of RBs after only two seasons in the NFL not sure he qualifies as great. Anyway all things considered he should have over 1700 rushing yards over 400 receiving yards and 15 total Tds would be the very minimum. To be great those numbers should be maintained for a 8-12 year period. IMO

:bow::bow::bow: well said SIR :bow:

Yes, please make the back who led the league by a lot in rushing yards per game last year and only didn't win another rushing title because he wasnt allowed to play the full season great "again'.

Please. We desperately need him to bounce back.

Dumb Title: Elliott led the NFL in Rushing Yards per game in 2017, and it wasn't close. Elliott averaged 98.3 ypg, which projects to 1573 yards over a 16 game season - which would have had him 246 yards ahead of Kareem Hunt, who led the league with 1327 yards. This is after beating the #2 RB in 2016 by 363 yards.

Here are the top 5 running backs from 2017 in YPG:
  1. Ezekiel Elliott - Dallas Cowboys - 98.3 ypg
  2. Dalvin Cook - Minnesota Vikings - 88.5 ypg
  3. Todd Gurley - Los Angeles Rams - 87.0 ypg
  4. Le'Veon Bell - Pittsburgh Steelers - 86.1 ypg
  5. Kareem Hunt - Kansas City Chiefs - 82.9 ypg
There is no need to "Make Zeke Great Again." He's been the best RB in the NFL the last two years straight. He just needs to maintain his dominance. Connor Williams and a healthy Tyron Smith will help.

With a O-Line that’s looking stronger again this year, then barring injury he will be the best RB in the league.

Man stop it, you know how many players are considered great that havent been in the league for 8 years?

Actually two great years
Last year he was suspended but in the games he played he was very good

I take the OP as meaning "great" as in have another great season. If some want to go off by saying he is not great because he has had only 2 years. Then so be it. People need to be that way I guess, as some the other way as well.

I will say, more like, continue to be one of the best if not the best RB in the NFL. But needs to re-establish the running game dominance for 16 games, well hopefully for 19 games. Having missed 6 games last year and did what he did, and even really his rookie season, he played only 15 games. Remember he was held out of game 16. Another stupid mistake by Garrett. Anyway no doubt he can be considered on his way to greatness. But if he does this for 5 years a t a high level, then yes consider him great. If Davis can make it to the HOF with what, 5 or 6 years. Then so can Zeke, but he needs the SB's to help. But that is a long road ahead. Let's just win and get to the playoffs this year first.

Yes when I seen the title I was thinking someone was joking. Sadly they were not.

He was #10 in rushing after missing 6 games, which is about half the games.
On top of that even though someone can say #10 is far down...he missed being number one by 345 rushing yards...he averaged 98.3 yards per game (as you noted best in the league) so even if he would have played four more games and still missed two...he would still have won the rushing title by 48 yards.

Some people, In an effort to make a thread, are losing their grasp of reality.

maybe...MPGA instead.

Let's don't kid ourselves. Zeke is capable of being better than he was last season. No matter how many you he got his ypc can be betfer.

I guess you could argue that his numbers could be better but Only because he should have a steady Oline again this year with a healthy T.Smith and new OG Connor Williams.

Otherwise...he did damn well last year.

He was pretty great last year ...he does not have to be great again...he might be greater or better but he was no where near bad last year.
