Evans might be the best type of WR for Wright to cover.

Evans wins with size/length.
- He has not faced many CBs with the length of Wright.

Obviously Evans outweighs Wright significantly but they have similar speed and similar limitations in short area quickness.

not sure i can take this seriously, i mean i get what you are trying to get across but im putting a vet there or bracketing him all game. Xrhodes could be the guy.

Agree with the other posters, same size, speed, and attributes doesnt really matter here. Evans skill set is way on another level compared to Wright

Not even Rhodes, out Diggs on him
I believe Diggs plays best on once side and not following the same guy all game so a WR or OC cant get tell on him.. you can have Diggs on any of their 3 weapons we have to cover more than 1 quality WR in that group. better to double a guy like Evans and go 1-1 on the others, im sure DQ will dial it up.

So this is more about two guys lining up face to face, nose to nose with each other.. (like Boxers do in pre-fight weigh-ins) .to see who is taller ?
... than it is This skill ....vs That skill ?

I just knew when I saw your post it would say this.

Just like your Josh ball hype, wright shutting down Evans and his 9 1k yard seasons 9 years will not happen.

If Wright is a starter you shift coverage to his side and take your chances with Diggs shutting down his guy on his own.

They’ve pretty much put Diggs on him the last 2 games. Why wouldn’t they do the same?

Who ever plays Evans needs some help
Wright all day might makes sense because that leaves Diggs on an easier guy and shouldn’t need help so easier to help Wright. I’d help him over the top and have him banging on evans all day. Evans gets a bit frustrated when guys get physical with him lol

Who would you want Wright to cover vs Philly if we get past TB?
AJ Brown or Devonte Smith?
That is when the true guessing game will begin.

It would be moronic to conclude that I said Wright would shut down Evans.

Wright played reasonably well vs the Eagles with a 63.3 QB rating allowed. His worst play was an in/out with 180 degree change of direction route by WR DeVonta Smith.
- Evans is an elite WR but he's never going to match DeVonta Smith's change of direction ability.

Richard Sherman was a better NFL player than Cole Beasley, but Sherman would have struggled if he tried to cover Beasley in the slot.
- Matchups are a reality in sports.

A special teamer vs one of the better WRs in the league. What could go wrong?

If Rhodes is gonna play line him up with Julio is another guy who doesn’t have the same legs he used to…..I’d keep him away from evans at all costs. Wright will get torched too but that’s not all on him it’s just how good evans is

Its match up problem regardless
We could put diggs on Evans
Bland on Goodwin
then Julio east up whoever is covering him.

They like to keep Bland in the slot my guess is they wont move guys around. The key is to get pressure on brady

We saw in the Packers game that 5-11 Anthony Browns 4.3 speed/quickness didn't help him when Rodgers lofted a perfect pass to 6-4 WR Watson for an easy TD.

Eagles Game
Wright was clearly better vs Brown than vs Smith 2 weeks ago...

Wright had a 63.3 allowed QB rating vs the Eagles.

His worst play was one were the Eagles schemed to isolate him on DeVonta Smith.
- Smith ran an in/out with 180 degree change of direction that Wright obviously couldn't cover; although he did limit Smith to no YAC.
