He’s had one season that’s worthy of the money he’s commanding.
I'll agree with this, one good season one great season.

It's comedy for idiotsAnd it’s not a very good one. JMO.
Very cringeworthy.
For the record, Lawrence has had two good years not one
I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of fans would have considered him a star 3-4 years ago. But not so much now. We should have a vote.No matter how you cut it he’s a star. Despite the down seasons he’s had it’s what he did on the field that’s made him a huge star. Only Dak and Zeke gets close to the attention he does. Everywhere Dez goes waves of fans folllow.
Really? You must not have watched 2015 carefully. The guy did nothing in the second half of the year.

BlimeyWatch the negativity, snarling, sniveling canine.
Mods, he is being negative (again) and attacking me, an innocent poster.
Dez is falling toward the JAG status.I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of fans would have considered him a star 3-4 years ago. But not so much now. We should have a vote.
Yeah MJ not a star no more lol.He was a star, no? Is he not one of the best TE's ever?
Just because he is old and slower, doesn't change those facts. Of course, he is no longer a star on this team. My definition was in general to casual fans.
Is Michael Jordan no longer a superstar now?![]()
Nope.Once a football star always a football star. Adrian Peterson is done but he’s still a star. Some of the fans on this board hating on Dez were probably in that crowd screaming for his autograph last summer. If you took a poll most would say he’s finished. Most here live in the moment. Troy Aikman was booed nearing the end of his career. When I first started posting in 2002 everyone on the board I was on was hating on Emmitt. His star had completely faded in the eyes of Cowboy fans.
Dez still has a lot left and on the right team with the right QB he’ll produce. You put him in NE with Brady or in Green Bay with Rodgers and he’ll produce. What would really help Dez is another receiving threat. Beasley having a career year in 2016 opened up opportunities for Dez. He only played 13 games in 2016 but still put up 8 TDs and over 800 yards. He could’ve easily had a 1000 yard season and double digit touchdowns that year had he played a full 16 games.
Indeed. His physical talent has paid the price for his dimwitted mental capacity.Dez is falling toward the JAG status.
Nope.
Wrong again. You’re one of those who lives in the moment. In your eyes and many others Witten is no longer a star. Should him being just a good/average player now disqualify him from Hall of Fame consideration?
Wrong again.
One, Witten out classes Dez by a landslide.
Two, I'm not "one of those," but the topic is: WHO IS A STAR. Not "who was." If anything, you're living in the past.
Three, the topic isn't HOF, which involves a players entire career. Not the 1st half. Again, IS not WAS a star.
You got it backwards. He did nothing the first half of the year in 2015, he only had one sack but had seven sacks the last eight games.
