Name 2 current Cowboys superstars or even plain stars

I don't know who's the Superstar...

but I know someone who's a Superstar in their own mind:

No matter how you cut it he’s a star. Despite the down seasons he’s had it’s what he did on the field that’s made him a huge star. Only Dak and Zeke gets close to the attention he does. Everywhere Dez goes waves of fans folllow.
I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of fans would have considered him a star 3-4 years ago. But not so much now. We should have a vote.

Once a football star always a football star. Adrian Peterson is done but he’s still a star. Some of the fans on this board hating on Dez were probably in that crowd screaming for his autograph last summer. If you took a poll most would say he’s finished. Most here live in the moment. Troy Aikman was booed nearing the end of his career. When I first started posting in 2002 everyone on the board I was on was hating on Emmitt. His star had completely faded in the eyes of Cowboy fans.

Dez still has a lot left and on the right team with the right QB he’ll produce. You put him in NE with Brady or in Green Bay with Rodgers and he’ll produce. What would really help Dez is another receiving threat. Beasley having a career year in 2016 opened up opportunities for Dez. He only played 13 games in 2016 but still put up 8 TDs and over 800 yards. He could’ve easily had a 1000 yard season and double digit touchdowns that year had he played a full 16 games.

Really? You must not have watched 2015 carefully. The guy did nothing in the second half of the year.

You got it backwards. He did nothing the first half of the year in 2015, he only had one sack but had seven sacks the last eight games.

Well, perplexed lads, let's put it this way: superstars readily recognized by other NFL fans and coaches.
The other teams' fans would probably be hard-pressed to name 2. The coaches would name maybe 4, designating at least 3 from the O line.

He was a star, no? Is he not one of the best TE's ever?

Just because he is old and slower, doesn't change those facts. Of course, he is no longer a star on this team. My definition was in general to casual fans.

Is Michael Jordan no longer a superstar now? :muttley:
Yeah MJ not a star no more lol.

Nope.

You’re one of those who lives in the moment. In your eyes and many others Witten is no longer a star. Should being just a good/average player now disqualify him from Hall of Fame consideration?

Wrong again.
One, Witten out classes Dez by a landslide.
Two, I'm not "one of those," but the topic is: WHO IS A STAR. Not "who was." If anything, you're living in the past.
Three, the topic isn't HOF, which involves a players entire career. Not the 1st half. Again, IS not WAS a star.

Witten isn’t out classing him right now, Dez was our leading receiver in every statistical category last season. Witten has gotten crapped on almost as much as Dez this offseason. Some want him benched in favor of a TE who’s never taken a regular season snap. Everyone is complaining about his lack of speed and athletic ability. Dez is and will always be a star based on his best years as a player.

He’s the Cowboys all-time leading TD receiver. Troy Aikman gets crapped on all the time on this board because so many hate him as an announcer. They hate him as an announcer so much some claim he wasn’t even a great QB. One idiot claimed he wasn’t good enough to carry Romo’s jock just because he gave some candid opinions on the Cowboys.

You are correct. I am terribly sorry to have misstated that.
