This guy just abuses DBs. Consistently 5 yards behind the corner. To me it's an easy decision if Hyatt is there at 26.
I don't follow college football, so I have to rely on clips like these and draft analysis. It seems from watching this that Hyatt has great downfield speed, but not much wiggle. Maybe it was just because he could, but he mainly just outraced DBs. I don't see many plays here where he planted his foot in the ground and made a sharp cut to escape coverage or made much of a double move. That's the hard thing about translating players to the pro level. Almost every DB will be able to match his speed if he can't show that he can plant and turn or chop his feet and get out of his break quickly for an out. Got to make the DBs buy the short stuff or they'll sit on the long stuff. Don't face that quality of DB every week in college.
Not saying Hyatt can't do it. The highlights show more of a one-trick pony, but he did that trick so well that they didn't need for him to do any others. Yes, there were some screens and slants thrown in there, but nothing that showed great ability to plant and cut.
