Name the Landry era Cowboys deserving HoF

Chuck Howley, the only man ever named as a Super Bowl MVP of a losing team. That alone should garner more than enough respect from the Board of Selectors, but no...
Howley is still the all-time career leader in Super Bowl takeaways with 4. He did that in just two games.

Drew Pearson and Chuck Howley.

Too Tall and Herb Scott weren't too bad either.

My list
  • Drew Pearson - Clutch receiver, Hail Mary catch. He's as good as Lynn Swan who is in . ;)
  • Cliff Harris - Defined the modern safety. His omission highlights anti-Cowboy bias.
Honorable mention to Ed "Too Tall" Jones and Leroy Jordan.

Leroy Jordan.

At a time when Chuck Howley was MVP in the '71 SB..there was Leroy from Alabama. It wasn't until Dave Edwards arrived about then that the Cowboys got their famous Doomsday Defense label..

mostly from the Lbers they had and Bob Lilly playing DT.

So we agree.

Lynn swan is in the Hall Of Fame , he has about 4500 career receiving yards. If he is in its unfair pearson is not.

Exactly!Throw in Harvey as the 5th.

One thing about the NFL that I never understood is that whenever Martin is brought up, the first thing said is "Sacks did not become an official stat until...blah, blah, blah". I was under the impression NFL films had almost every game ever played on tape somewhere. Why doesn't the NFL hire someone to watch every game and count sacks and create an official record up to whatever they have on film. If that was done, I think Harvey Martin would get the credit he deserves as one of the best at his position.

Martin's case is the one that bugs me the most because you never hear anybody talk about him. He's never even made the preliminary list, although Too Tall has several times, and Martin was the more accomplished player. It started to bug me even more when Fred Dean made it in.

I can understand Swann over Pearson because of the Super Bowls. I can't understand why that argument doesn't apply to Howley, whose two Super Bowls are unsurpassed among defensive players. And then there's Harris. How is the guy with the 10th-highest vote total for the All Decade Team of the 70s not in the Hall of Fame, when there are several players who did not make that team who are in? There is no good answer because logic is being abused in the defense of bias.

The Cowboys are underrepresented, and Howley, Harris, Pearson, and Martin should be in
