There are a number of players I could name, but the one player who has my attention more than any other is Randy Gregory. I really think he'll have a Javon Kearse-like impact on the Cowboys this year, at least I hope.

Breakout of any player, or a player not expected to breakout.
Top draft picks, 2nd year players, like DLaw, are expected to be better, play well, have a decent TC

But I will go with the so called underdogs, to have a good TC.

McFadden, will surprise a lot of people / naysayers.
Agree. If he is healthy he will be good.

AJ Jenkins will show why he was a high draft pick and at least push for the 5th WR spot, or possibly make the coaches think of keeping 6 WR's.
The reports have not been good in OTAs. A veteran should look good in OTAs compared to rookies but he reportedly has not.

Weems, will make the coaches have a hard choice of putting Gibson on the PS, but also depends if Green starts and is kept on the PUP list, and if they keep 8 or 9 OL.
If Weems looks good, Green likely stays on the PUP. Gibson would be the 9th OL in that scenario.

Wilson at LB, will push Wilber off the roster at LB, I never been all that impressed with Wilber. Or Cam Lawrence, other than ST's play.
I have Wilson as a top 6 LB and they probably keep 7. The 7th should be between Wilber, Rivers and Nz the rookie 7th round pick. Zero chance for Cam Lawrence, IMO.

Chris Whaley, he will impress and move past Coleman and Bishop.
I see Whaley and Coleman as 3techs and Bishop as a 1tech. Root for Bishop if you want Hayden gone.

T. McClain will show why he was brought in last year, being healthy this year. Hopefully between McClain, Whaley, Bishop, Coleman, Hayden is pushed off the roster.
TMc flashed his talent last season but was never 100% healthy.

It's unlikely that Hayden is cut. Marinelli loves him for some reason. Maybe he is dating Marinelli's granddaughter or something.

Edwards, somehow I think he gives a fan favorite Gardner a run for a roster spot.
Edwards, Gardner, Russell and Boatright are competing for 1 roster spot IMO. Maybe 2 spots while Hardy is out on suspension.

Mo, shows he can be value at CB. I put him in here because of recovering from a major injury, and people love to hate on him, so I want him to prove the haters wrong.
My goal is for him to be the best 5th CB in the league. Anything more than that is a bonus.

He has not been on the team in 2 or 3 years.

Crawford (sacks), Wilcox (hopefully can be moved to SS), Escobar, R Williams (if he can stay outta the tub), TW, and Lawrence all have the talent. I like White in the secondary too (encouraging early reports).

Somewhat unconventional..............Brandon Weeden will start 4 games this year and the Cowboys will win 3 of them.

I don't put a lot of stock in who breaks out in camp. I've seen too many training camp warriors over the years most notably WR Randal Williams who disappear in games. It's one thing to breakout in camp/practice and it's another to breakout in games on Sunday.

Joseph Randle
Demarcus Lawrence
Terrell McClain
Lance Dunbar
Devin Street
Gavin Escobar

These were who were projected by John Machota, DMN.

All the rb's. At the moment, that is my predominant concern: who will emerge, if anyone...

Byron Jones and La'el Collins are obvious choices. I'd like to add Randy Gregory to that list but I'm not sure how he'll handle the initial adversity he's likely to face.

Morris Claiborne, only for the sake to either prove himself or for us to accept it didn't work out and move on.

Ben Gardner, since I'm a Pac-12 homer.

George Farmer, since I've known him since he was a sophomore in high school.

Ryan Williams, because I love what he did at VA Tech.

The best thing that could happen is that Randle breaks out and takes the RB job cleanly and without question.

Tyler Patmon. He was my pet cat last year and made the team. this year I wanna see solid contribution. If he steps up, our secondary will be better for it.
