It is amazing to see how big this kid got.

But I tell you, he had an amazing performance (even more amazing considering how big he was even back then) with the 7 OT game he played in vs Arkansas. I think they lost because he fumbled in the end but man that was a great game.

I wonder if he would have had more of an NFL career had he been able to control his weight. I mean, he obviously had some talent considering he was in the NFL for at least a couple years.

I hear opinions about certain players with words like "terrible", "awful", and so forth.

Where is the proof? Where is the evidence? Give me an example. Show me something that indicates he never would have gotten better.

Its not a matter of whether he really was good or not, I can't understand why some of you can't see that. Yes, he probably wasn't good enough.

But do we really trust this management to know for sure?

They said we had an elite offensive line.

They said Randle could do the job.

They said Cassell would be an improvement over Weeden.

They said before the season that Room had 4-5 years left in his career.

They said Claiborne would be a shutdown.

They said Carr was worth the money.

They said Gregory and Hardy would improve the pass rush.

They said Marinelli's defense was all about turnovers.

The issue is trust.

Do these guys kniq what they are doing?

Do we trust them with a QB decision in the 1st round of a draft?

That is my point.

Again...small sample size..,too small to make any analysis based on his performance.

We all do realize that what "stats" are? They are a record of events, the information for the precise outcome of every play?

Some say trust your eyes, lol. The problem isn't the eyes, its the memories.

How many of you can quickly tell me six plays from the last game?

So, again, the numbers are too small to say he was a good quarterback.,...agreed.

But you must now agree the same is true for any opinion that he was NOT a good quarterback. Not enough data? It was enough for the Cowboys to decide to cut him in favor of keeping only Romo and Orton.

What I did was state the data that contradicts the opinion that he was not a good quarterback. We don't know. We will never know because the Cowboys cut him.

Stephen McGee's stats after three seasons was 46-82-420-3TD-0INT.

Tony Romo's stats after three seasons was 0-0-0-0TD-0INT.

My point is, given the current circumstances, given the performance of their backups in recent seasons, do we really believe these guys can even develop a quarterback.

Cassell finally won a game a few weeks ago. The previous backup QB that started and actually won?

Stephen McGee.

Really wish I had those 5 minutes back...
