I think Mingo and where he goes could kinda be one of the potential surprises of the draft.

Dude reminds me of Jamar Chase.
Mingo going in the 1st definitely wouldn't shock me. Mingo is an example of how media scouts dont know ****

The more I've been thinking about it...this might be our 2nd round guy that we are targeting. Maybe we learned our lesson from passing on DK Metcalf.

I don't think it will be the pick so it would suprize me but it was reported they liked him a lot and NFL has him ranked 16.

Josh Downs
Liked him a lot....until that 40 time @ the combine. That killed him.

Maybe not a surprise, but either Drew Spencer -- LB -- Arkansas, or Steve Avila – Offensive Guard – Texas Christian University might be their highest rated player available (the CB's or WR's could start silding down in the 1st round) when the team selects (possibly on a trade down).

He plays fast. 4.48 seconds is competent and his 10 yard split was 1.49 seconds which was better than Hyatt's, Flowers, Scotts, Palmer's, and Mims and tied Tank Dell's.

I will go with Matt Bergeron...T Syracuse

Solid player...allows us to move Tyler back to LG...

Gives us depth...and flexibility along the Oline .

Not a sexy pick...but it works.

Comments?
I like Bergeron…I think he will be a better guard in the pro‘s.

You trade. You just cannot do anything with him for two years as there is no out of Daks contract yet
Don't think it's that simple. Unless you are completely terrified of him for some reason.

You have a team that on paper should be competing deep in the playoffs so you aren't expecting to draft high in the next few years. You have a player who most people think is the first or second best QB in this class based on their tape fall to you at 26. That would be a serious conundrum.

I don't believe that there isn't any way out. I've seen other situations where something supposedly couldn't happen yet it did.

Drew Sanders.

Jahmyr Gibbs. Not a huge surprise at this point, but I can't get it out of my head how bad the Dallas offense looked against San Francisco after Tony Pollard went down. I feel they may be seriously considering him.

This is my logic.

Dallas plays SF next year. D played well, offense stunk. Adding a 3rd rotation DE doesn’t get you over that hump.
