Sure, a regular joe who's good at Madden can beat top 100 guys. I can too. Doesn't put either one of us on the same competitive level, or we'd be 100+ Rank consistently. Also, PS3 is frowned upon by the elite madden community, it's not were the best players are. Nearly all of the best players play on Xbox, which is why all the major tournaments are played on Xbox.
Majority of the top 100 on PS3 would not make the top 100 on Xbox.
If you can't Nano blitz and Rocket catch, you probably aren't going to be competing at any high level in any of the tournaments. You're certainly never going to be on a show like Madden Nation. Those guys are insane.
I've played against DaSecret, Dynasty, and Prodigy. The **** they do is ********. It's like you're not even playing football anymore. The blitzes they pull off and the Catches they make into triple coverage is insanity.
Not saying any of that to be negative. I haven't used Rocket Catching or Nano blitzing since 09, never bothered to learn it in 10, I still consider myself a really good player, but when you can't do those things, 9/10 times you are going to lose to the people who can, provided they have a strong understanding of football.
Newbs may be able to do those things but they will still lose because it's all they got.
