A good 500 for me would be Jr.'s car on the back of a wrecker. But he'll probably win this garbage race. They take the plates off next week and actually have a race.

Real nice to get Jeffrey Gordon out of NASCAR and now we gotta listen to and see the whiny lil snot nosed punk with DW. That goofy grin is enough to make me puke.

Im still amazed at all these tracks taking seats out. Looks like somethings missing with no backstretch seats.

Maybe theyre making room for more luxury suites or reataurants. Or maybe the other races aren't as important as daytona. Oh well

They tore out over 40,000 seats on the back stretch at Daytona. And they redid the front stretch seating adding more bathrooms and concession areas. So they lost over 40,000 seats. Other tracks have torn out seats lowering seating capacity. Attendance has been way down but what does tearing seats oout and reducing capacity accomplish?

In Daytona they said it will "cut their expenses"

How much expense is there in maintaining aluminum bleachers?

Even with that close finish that had to be as boring of a Daytona 500 as possible. Jeff Gordon is awful. I dont know what the sound of drying paint is, but it cant be any less entertaining than Jeffy.

DW continues to be horrible, did he do that boogity crap to start the race? I enjoyed listening to Jeff knowing certain people would be here *****ing about him. lol ......as far a the race, Danica wrecking trying to block is always special and an exciting last 20 seconds after hours of zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Truex is too nice, should have run Hamlin's butt up the track, he'll be regretting this the rest of his life.

I don't think they Nascar/TV/sponsers care about guys like us though

While true, they oughta care about keeping any fans they can. But in reality they know its easier to get new fans then it is to get old fans back that have seen better times but now see it as a lesser quality product.

I don't know what Nascar is going to do to get new fans, too many cookie cutter tacks and cookie cutter drivers. Chase Elliott I guess would be the new great hope being Bill's son and driving the 24. He was already out before I turned on the race today.

Yea, the new tracks are like watching indy car races, except with stock cars. Too spread out and not enuff side by side lead changing lap after lap. Brian France is riding daddy and grandad's wave but not doing much to advance the sport.

Yes DW did his boobity crap to start the race. My low expectations (restrictor plate racing needs to go away) went even lower after that. Listening to former #24 just makes me ill. NASCAR on Fox just plain sucks.

And then when you consider its even worse with NBC, its a wonder they have any fans watching.
