Jeff in the booth and Jimmie (girls spelling by the way) winning, probably many suicidal fans right about now.

I dont know if anybody is suicidal but its whats wrong with NASCAR. Its hard to watch now.

Real nice to get Jeffrey Gordon out of NASCAR and now we gotta listen to and see the whiny lil snot nosed punk with DW. That goofy grin is enough to make me puke.

I was not a Gordon fan, although found myself rooting for him at times during his final season. Regarding Jeff in the booth, I love it. DW, Larry McReynolds, and the main commentator have been saying the same garbage year after year. Jeff adds a refreshing take on what's going on with the pitch of the car, and crew chief and team reactions to all kinds of scenarios. Bottom line, Jeff's insight is great!

With that said, I've always been a fan of the original, the real Earnhardt, #3. That just made it real easy to become a big Junior fan. Sadly, Jr does not have a killer instinct on the track. So he'll always just be the nice guy that's really good at all the cookie-cutter tracks like Richmond, and of course the super speedways, but he'll never be that all around racer. Chase Elliott will probably win a championship before Dale retires.

Hard to stay awake listening to Jeffy. Jr was good on the plate tracks while still at DEI before the wicked witch destroyed what her husband had created. A real shame IMO. NASCAR has changed a lot since Dale was killed. Its never really recovered or been the same since. Nobody else took his place and now we have a bunch of cookie cutter tracks that produce vanilla racing and the sport has nothing but a bunch of vanilla drivers. Its just a shell of its former self. Maybe with the newer safety implementations its was inevitable but Brian France aint his daddy or grandaddy.

No real personalities anymore. Everything is blah . . . . . . . . . the racing, the people, the newer tracks in many ways. I used to never miss a race. Now I cant watch a whole race. They've killed the sport similar to how Jerry has killed the Cowboys on the field.

Instead of personalities you've got ***hats like Kyle & Kurt Busch.

As much as I like Dale Earnhardt Jr, I want to find another driver that I can get behind and root for. I don't know if that will be C. Elliott, Kyle Larson, or Austin Dillon.

I can't stand Jimmy Johnson, Busch bros, Lagano, Hamlin, Kenseth, Edwards, Keselowski,

That is what will drive me further away from the 'sport' even more. I was a 'watch every lap of every race' guy for years. Since Sr. died, there has been no one to root for. I never had a 2nd favorite driver. Not even close. In the following 2-3 years I found more and more drivers to dislike. It quickly got to the point where I couldn't watch any more.

I tried to be a Jr fan. Couldn't drive like his old man at all. Then I found out he was a Commanders fan. DONE! Eventually I tried to root for Boyer since he is from just down the road from where I live. Even then my interest dwindled more and more every year. Now they put #1 on the hate list in the damn booth. I'm done until the races are off of Fox. Even then I probably won't watch much.

Sr died the sport has been dying since. Jr was fun to watch on the plate tracks when DEI was strong on those tracks but that died to. I would root for Tony and Jr but that hasnt been much to root for the past few years. RCR is in existence, but no drivers there for years to get excited about. I like Joe Gibbs but cant stand Kyle so dont root for JGR. Cant root for the Hendricks cars.

I know it sounds like sour old timers lamenting and longing for the good ole days, but it honestly isnt very appealing. There's no Harry Gant's. No Dave Marcus types that you can pull for just becuz you respect how the guy hangs on in the sport. And the racing just isnt as good. Not as competitive with good side by side racing. The cookie cutter tracks killed that. Its like the air was let out of the balloon for the entire sport.

Jimmy getting 76 wins and tying Sr is meaningless. 5 Time couldnt carry Sr's jock. Jimmie's 76 wins are as meaningful as Kurt Busch's championship.

Something else that isnt as good as it used to be is country music. Its painful to listen to on the radio anymore with the new stuff coming out. Whats with the attempt at "rap country?"

Its as if NASCAR isnt bad enuff by itself so country music has to follow . . . .. .

don't like Jimmie Johnson but the guy has had a hell of a career, tied Sr for wins in 8 less years or something like that.
