NBC completely dismisses the Cowboys

*** Highlights of Colts-Jags game ***

"I'm telling you: I liked it better when it was Fresh Bite. You think of going into Subway to get a bite. You don't go into Subway to get a Buzz, you know what I mean."

*** The other analysts completely ignore this conversation. Bob Costas looks and I'm sure feels awkward. ***

Why do we have goons like Bob Costas doing Sunday night football? It is bad enough with him making the Olympics even worse than they already are. Why football?
I'm old enough to remember when he quit the studio job back when NBC covered the AFC games.
I read something in an interview about how he thought the NFL was no fun covering players who were thugs. So he went to do the NBA gig and some baseball stuff. I'm para-phrasing this but I remember thinking that Costas was a smug a-hole. Pardon my french.

I cringe everytime this goober pronounces "Manning" as "Menning".... I feel like driving my head through a wall to rid me of the pain

I can never diss Costas no matter how bad he is covering the NFL.

"Until Tony Romo can show me that he can recover from a bad game, I can not say that the Cowboys are the best in the NFC"

Wow. Just wow.

I guess his performance in Carolina after a bad half against the Giants means nothing. Whatever.

Drew Brees passed for 500+ yards just a few weeks back and they still lost. Yeah that seems pretty "balanced to me.

Is it just me or do the pre-game shows just suck now? It's not like it used to be....

I still like the Fox one and NFL countdown though.

Anyone else get chills when the camera zoomed in on the Cowboys stretching with Parcells looking on? Awesome. This is our year damnit!

don't get your collective panties in a bunch. if we take care of business, we'll get the respect.

Uhh, and what's wrong with what he said?

It's the truth.

to be honest they talked about the cowboys more realistically then anyone has dared to. They are playing well. They are extremely "hot" but who (not in dallas) is going to call this team a shoe in for a deep playoff run.
I predict dallas to go to the nfc championship game vs. the saints personally..but honestly either of those 2 teams could realistically lose to nearly any of the teams in contention.

I don't know if Dallas played NO again, it would be the same result. But I agree with you. It is true. This team might be a top 3 team in the NFC, but I wouldn't put the mortgage on Dallas being in the NFC Championship game over Chicago or New Orleans.

The lack of pass rush was unbelievable.

NO was running the ball at us at the end of the game, and htis just kind of summed up Zimmer's plan to me. He blitzed Roy from the outside on Deuce's huge run. I mean, just total lack of awareness IMO. The team is going up the gut, and you come from the edges.

Unreal how unprepared our D was for an offensive style they had seen for the last 3 years.
