For those with interest, here are the NCAA Baseball Super Regional pairings.
Best 2 of 3 and winners go to the College World Series. The higher seeded teams are listed first and are hosting.

  • Florida vs Florida State
  • LSU vs Coastal Carolina
  • Texas Tech vs East Carolina
  • Texas A&M vs TCU
  • Louisville vs UC-Santa Barbara
  • South Carolina vs Oklahoma St
  • Miss State vs Arizona
  • Miami vs Boston College

Excited to see my Pirates back in a SR. They are young and have pitching issues, so doubt they make it to Omaha. Would love to see it happen though!

TAM/TCU should be another barn-burner.

12 of the 16 teams are from the SEC/ACC/Big12.

Great sweep in the Charlottesville Regional to eliminate the defending National Champs, Virginia!

But yes, the Pirates have had better teams and winning in Lubbock vs Texas tech--the Big 12 champs--will be tough.
They have proven they won't be intimidated by anyone though.

Only watched the ECU game. Pirates pitching came through. TT pitching fell apart for a few innings.

One...more...win

28 NCAA playoff appearances and no College World Series is crazy.
So want the Pirates to make it.

I fear we used up all of our pitchers today. We'll see what happens tomorrow. Wasted SO many opportunities today.

Gut wrenching loss.
The bunting was atrocious. But some world class defense in many cases.
Winner take all to Omaha today.

Was thinking the Big 12 was under-represented this year.
With all three teams that got in making it to Omaha, I'd say that was probably the case.
West Virginia probably had a legit beef.

Best ending I've maybe ever seen with CSSB--down 0-3, then hitting a bottom 9th walk-off grand slam to go to Omaha. wow
