I can't believe there's not a thread on this...

But I'm not really even going to talk so much about the actual tournament.

What I want to know is what's up with the scheduling going into this weekend?

There are 4 games on Thurs & Fri. night. First two games go on in the 7:00 hour (EST). Tonight's games are being played in Charlotte and Phoenix. Second two games at each site go on around 9:30-ish. Then they do this again tomorrow night in Houston and Detroit.

Anyone know why they double up like this when there are only 4 games to be played? It doesn't seem to be for ratings. You'd think if they were interested in higher ratings, they'd have it to where you could watch the early East region game (or the majority of it), then double up the late East game and early West game, then leave the late West game by itself.

It just seems like the tournament loses so much steam after the first two rounds where you have games scheduled all day long for 4 days.

no clue why they do it like that but man do i hope the tarheels lose tonight

pep, I was just talking with a co-worker about this subject. I have no clue. Doubling them up allows a viewer to go back and forth, but they could generate higher ratings per game via your method.

It makes too much sense.

Yeah my first thought was the going back and forth stuff, and they stagger the start times enough to where the last 5 minutes of the first game can be done then they can switch over to the last 5 minutes of the second game. But some people actually would like to watch an entire game, especially if one of your favorite teams is playing.

There's nothing more frustrating to me than when my team is playing with under 10 minutes left and they're showing the last 5 minutes of Xavier-West Virginia.

ok i am definitely not a West Virginia fan.....my teams are Texas and TAMU-CC......however, there is a player on WVU that is grabbing my attention....#11 Alexander. This guy has a nice, solid frame and long arms.

He definitely has a nice game. He can shoot beyond the arc, a nice midrange jumper, and solid moves in the low block. He does a nice job of handling the rock. He is also a tenacious rebounder on both ends, as well as a decent shot blocker. He does a nice job of playing defense, especially drawing charges. He plays with a lot of intensity and energy.

He is only a junior, so not sure if he is going to declare for the draft this year......but one thing is for certain....I will definitely be stoked to see the Spurs draft him when he does declare.....

There's no way Alexander lasts that long in whatever draft he goes in. The Spurs would have to move up into the lottery.

HOOK EM!!! i hope we can win tonight, i have though all year we can take memphis, i hope we can get past stanford ang get a shot! id love the spurs to get curry, i really like him, he reminds me a lot of monta ellis, but he will probably be a lottery pick

Stephen Curry is just unconscious right now. Unreal what that kid is doing.

Oh, and Dr.Ware apparently hasn't seen UCLA's games over the last couple of weeks. Methinks he wouldn't be *****ing about the Heels getting referee favoritism anymore.

Reliant Stadium looks good as a basketball venue. I like the setup. Very different. It almost looks like what a gymnastics floor looks like.

I guess every game tonight is going to be a slaughter.

Michigan State looks like a high school team.

Hook em Horns

Let's make this a FT shooting contest......so we can watch both team fill the house with bricks.

man, i was actually a little worried watching them play at reliant stadium. the setup might be unique, but doesn't it seem a little dangerous if a player goes for a loose ball or something?
