Wooden had an 80 something game winning streak.

Edit: Google check -- 88 wins from 1971-1974.

Next longest is San Francisco with 60.

In the words of John Witherspoon

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Final 4 BABY!!!!!!!!!!!

Time for revenge on UCLA.....I hope

Congrats to the Tigers. Even for the highly casual BB watcher as myself, it was painfully obvious how out-manned the Horns were.

I can't remember who the "color guy" was on that broadcast, but he summed it up perfectly w/ about 3 mins left, when he said "DJ Augustine just never figured out the way the Memphis D was playing him".

I was pretty sure those UCLA teams had some crazy win streak like that but didn't know how many games.

man, Memphis was just bigger and stronger than us at every position. Damn. I think they have the potential to blow out UCLA too.

I wouldn't mind having CDR on the mavs if he can put on a little strength.

and Bill Walton was on those UCLA teams. According to wikipedia, "The Walton-led 1971-72 UCLA basketball team had a record of 30-0, in the process winning its games by an average margin of more than 30 points"

Congrats on the win Yeag!

If Memphis beats NC in the finals, then my 6 year old son will win our office pool... $120 bucks! :D

:laugh2:

Once again, proof that sometimes the less you know, the better you do.

WOW!!!!!!!!!! Memphis and Kansas.....who'd thunk it?

I think we match up much better with KU than UNC but it's going to be a tough one for sure.

yep yeager, your blue and white thugs made it to the Finals.......GO JAYHAWKS....represent the Big 12

BTW, what are your complete thoughts on Dorsey, give me a complete synopsis of his game.....cause i wouldn't be totally opposed to the Spurs drafting him late in the 1st or early in the 2nd if they trade down.

Great rebounder and shot blocker for only being 6-8 just don't rely on him to score. He has all the ability in the world but has to be constantly motivated.

I hate Kansas....but they are reppin the Big 12

The Big Men I am looking at are

Joey Dorsey - should be there when the Spurs pick
DeVon Hardin - should be there when the Spurs pick
Robin Lopez - a 50/50 chance he is there when the Spurs pick
JaVale McGee - a small chance he is there when the Spurs pick
Serge Ibaka - a small chance he is there when the Spurs pick

Other players I like:

F - Joe Alexander - if he comes out, will most likely be a lottery pick, but I am hoping he falls to the Spurs at the end of the 1st
F/C - Jason Thompson - probably won't be there when the Spurs draft in the 1st, but if he fell to us, I would be happy if we picked him.
PG - Mario Chalmers - could trade out of 1st to the early 2nd and get him
SF - Marcus Dove - a defensive specialist who should be there when the Spurs (via Toronto) draft in the 2nd round.

I'm just glad my Griz are in position to finally get a big man. We have needed one since they came to Memphis.
