Suh did dispute a New York Post report that he left the Lions locker room and boarded the team bus without showering after Sunday's win against the New York Jets.

"I always take a shower," he said. "It'd be bad hygiene if you didn't take a shower after a game like that, especially being hot and sweaty."

And he declined to say what factors he'll weigh when considering his future this offseason, though he insisted he makes his football and business decisions separately.

By going to New York, Chicago or Dallas, the report hypothesizes that Suh could enhance his brand as one of the most recognizable defensive players in the NFL.

What do you guys think? He could bring this defense over the top. However, he might be nothing more than looking for a big pay day instead and go back to being lazy.

I think the label as "lazy" for Suh is a misconception. I'm not sure where that got started but he's made the All-Pro team every year he's been in the league. He's also ranked 1-2 in top guys players don't want to face.

I'd love to have him, but he's going to get a monster contract.

I also like how they named the three biggest markets as possible destinations. I'm sure we're considering it at a certain price, but so is every other team in the league.

In this day in age I dont understand why players still think that their popularity can get somehow boosted by what market they play in. In my mind, the Yankees, Cowboys and Lakers are the only teams in American sports that can potentionally make a player more scrutinized nationally. Why Suh thinks playing in New York or Chicago will somehow make him more nationally known is assine. Peyton Manning is probably the most recognized player in the NFL and he plays in Denver and played majority of his career in Indiana.

But to answer OPs question, I would be very interested if Suh was truly interested in us tbh. I think Suh is a great player and I love his intensity. The fact that Suh is concerned about his brand is a good thing IMO. Players that want to be popular and want to make more money in endorsements need to be great on the field.

For a reasonable deal? Do it Jerry. We'd have two of the most violent players in the NFL at DT and MLB to go with the players we already have on a defense that is improving. Our defense would take the next step towards elite perennially. Add that to "The Great Wall of Dallas 2.0" we're building on offense? Dynasty.

Is the opportunity for someone like Suh an increase in 'local' endorsement deals?

It's clear that in today's modern NFL that a superstar can gain recognition and make tons of endorsement money while playing in just about any city.

Look at P. Manning forever in Indy or more recently the avalanche of TV commercials featuring Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews. Those guys as much national endorsement money as anybody, however, their opportunity for local endorsement money in Green Bay has to be a mere fraction of what they could get in NY or Dallas.

If Marinelli is ok with him, then I'm ok. I trust Rod to shape up any player under his command.

I agree. personally I'm intrigued by Suh, not sure I want him, but if the brain trust says its a go, I'm on board.

If Suh came to Dallas, he would be a walking penalty considering his reputation as a dirty player and our propensity to get screwed over by the refs with bs calls every week.

Suh is a good player I don't think Suh is a good fit for the Cowboys locker room. I think a quality DT and or DE can be had in the draft. Seems to be quite a few that are expected to be picked in the 1st 2 rds.
