Bill Williamson of ESPN.com reports that Keary Colbert "is on the bubble to make the 53-man roster."

Denver handed Colbert a $2.5 million signing bonus in March and planned on him becoming the team's No. 2 receiver, but that was before drafting Eddie Royal. Williamson notes that Colbert is also behind Brandon Stokley and Darrell Jackson, and Glenn Martinez may also have a leg up due to his special teams play.

Denver is one of those teams we were looking for with good depth at receiver. With Marshall returning a couple weeks in, they have a lot of good receivers on the roster.

Colbert is a solid WR and can stretch the field.

Keary Colbert came on like a champ as a rookie in Carolina and fell off the face of the earth after that.

Colbert isn't going to help us on special teams, so we wouldn't even activate him for games.

I don't see any value.

As a person who lives in Carolina and sees the Panthers play a lot, in all honesty colbert is nothing special and I have more confidence in our other receivers than I would in bringing him in

Kasiim Osgood is excellent on special teams, and thinks he's a WR. Maybe he is, and San Diego may not be able to keep him and 5 other WRs.

Four Words:

Johnnie Lee Higgins Jr

I didn't know he was a "Jr." but the Raiders can't let him go: he's the only receiver they have without "emotional" problems. In fact, I'm dreading watching Javon go out there wringing his hands and sobbing.

Good god, this board's infatuation with WRs has gone from hilarious to disturbing.

I wonder if eddie royal could beat out sam hurd. Drafting is how teams get better not waitin for teams to cut players b4 the start of d season.
