You guys know where I can find a good deal on a digital camera?

I'd like something around 8 megapixels for around 70-80 bucks.

I've bought most of my Cameras and video cameras from either B&H or Butterfly Photo

Let us know what you ended up with.

Some of these websites arent very user friendly and im getting lead to some refurbished stuff as well.

I'd like the Kodak Easyshare 8 megapixel but im open to other name brand stuff as well.

That's because the cameras shown on that "fatwallet" site are going on sale on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.

Spend the extra coin and get a Canon powershot (SD1200). Amazing little cameras.

Agreed. Great camera with Image Stabilization. Can be had for $150 on BF. I have a Canon SD800IS,and love it. I'm still going to go to a Rebel T1i,and my wife says if I do,she gets the SD800.

Im getting it for the folks for christmas and they are still stuck in the polaroid era so I dont want to spend a buck 50 and they not know how to even use it.

Once they figure it out though theyll never use a film camera again.

I would think a 10 megapixel camera would be a huge upgrade from what they're used to.

Im trying to teach myself how to use this website.

I can tell if I figure out how to find what im looking for in the forums I could find some monster deals.

I'd really like to get the 12 mega pixel camera for 69 dollars Friday.... I wonder if the sale lasts all day.

Don't just go by the megapixels. 10+ megapixel cameras can still produce crappy images, usually with a cheapo camera.

If you go to the 'Fatwallet' site and register (doesn't cost anything),then you can go to the forums section,go to 'hot deals',then scan the latest 'hot deals'. If you have a particular thing you want to look for, there is a box in the upper part of the particular forum that you can type in a key word,i.e. Canon, for instance, and it will take you to all the recent and not so recent hot deals on that item. Take a few minutes and explore all the other forums they have at your fingertips...finance,travel deals, freebies, etc.

They also have participating stores,as do other sites, that give you cash back for your online purchases thru them. It's worked well.
If you have any other questions on it,PM me. Good luck!

Here's a full res photo from that camera? What do you think? I see alot of image and compression noise....but unavoidable with cheaper pocket camers. The only downside of pocket cameras really. But if you're printing at 4x6, then you won't notice it too bad.

Thanks for that.

It just looks like a good picture to me. Im not real picture savy so I wouldn't know what to look for that makes it a bad picture other than the regular red eye.

You have any camera suggestions for a good price?

That's a pretty bad picture -- almost mobile phone quality. I doubt you'll be able to get much better for under $100 though.
