What I'm most excited about leading in to this season is the sheer amount of players that are on the upswing. It doesn't mean they all will arrive, but there is no artificial ceiling with this team due to having a bunch of "pretty good" veterans we are afraid of getting rid of. The revamping of the secondary was based on this premise.

Really young players tend to improve. Older players tend to decline or get injured more.

Not everyone improves a lot; something the homers here need to keep in mind. Some plateau early in their careers for whatever reason. Thinking Dax will have a better statistical season this year is extremely unlikely; when all time greats like Peyton Manning have trouble stringing together two years like he had why should he be any different. He could play better this year and have significantly worse numbers. We know he will have more picks because it is as it is in the NFL. If he can keep a rating above 100 that would be awesome but very unlikely he will get near what he got this year.

Now for RBs like Zeke its easier since so much is instinctive. and he will learn other things that will help.

As regards the children in the secondary well it will take some time.

And the D line? well that is box of chocolates according to Forrest Gump- we have no real idea of what we will get.
