Taco was rated as high as 17th over all by several sites so your bias piece get off on the wrong foot. Everybody has an opinion and thats what this board is about.


Did you ever complain about our secondary Waldo? Did you ever come on the board suggesting to get rid of Wilcox,Mo or Carr?
The FO allowed those players to go get bigger money then they were worth in the FO's eyes.
It didn't create a problem,it upgraded.

I dont remember, but I do remember wanting to throw out most of the defense after the playoff game.
As far as I am concerned, the only players that are good/better than average in the defense are Collins, Irving, Lee, Jones and Brown, Furthermore, Pae, Mayowa and Thornton are pretty cheap and TCrawford's 2017 salary is already guaranteed. Jaylon and Tapper are unproven, so we will hope and see this year.

However, that does not mean you let Wilcox/Mo/Carr all go at the same time.
The cost of letting them all go at the same time was the need to use most of the 2017 draft resources to replace them.
Given a choice, would much rather improve the passrush even if DBs include a couple UDFAs.
Much rather see the resources from the top 3 picks go to RDE.
We can always draft DBs in 2018 if the war daddy problem is solved.

OP does not even know who Xavier Woods is.

Yes, his tape looks good.
I never questioned whether the DBs could be replaced because our 2016 DBs were not very good.
The # 1 problem was the passrush, and I dont want to see what happens when Rodgers has 10 seconds to throw against our new DBs.

I thought I saw it, but who knows.
What matters even more is they rated Taco as a 2nd round pick.
We could have traded up to get a better rated DE if the FO was desperate and had to keep the other picks to replace the DBs.

I would have prefer Tak over Taco - at least his offers the burst that Taco does not appear to have.
BTW, I was in SF yesterday and heard that Tak was not crazy.
He was crazy emotional that day before his father abandoned him and his mother abandoned him.
That is why he had the picture of his grandmother who raised him but died.
He promised her on her death bed that he would be drafted...

well then you lose opportunity is nailing a better RDE - which everyone agrees is the #1 problem.
are we worried about accounting when there is plenty of cap space.
i hope taco is the 2nd coming of shante carver.

Free was never very good, but just good enough for several years. Last year he declined and was terrible.
