I saw this was in 74', does it stand the test? Even X Files didn't really stand the test after a recent binge on some of their stuff. Funny how that works with some of your faves as a kid, etc. Are you talking about The Tick with Puddy?

Some of the episodes still hold up... some may not because of SFX more than anything. Still a lot of good stories. There was a reboot about 7 years ago... I liked it but it didn't last but a few episodes...

I like Kolchak, it's too bad they didn't make more episodes.

I was in my early teens when that series came out on ABC. I loved Darren McGavin as the grizzled newspaper reporter tracking down things-that-go-bump-in-the-night. Also, Simon Oakland as Carl's abrasive editor. Cool freeze-frame shots right before each commercial break.

First you can see all that's available to stream here: http://instantwatcher.com/

American Horror Story
Top of the Lake (You'll NEVER see the ending coming)
Penny Dreadful
Luther
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Almost finished with Season 3 of American Horror Story. Very good series. Cool to see the same cast being used in different story lines each season.

Going to reply to my own post, but awesome acting in this show. Jessica Lange is fantastic. Seems this show just attracts actors that want to push their limits.

Not on Netflix....But Banshee. This show may be the best new show (well it's not new, but new to me) that i'm watching right now.

Seriously, every episode is amazing.

This one?

Lucas Hood (Antony Starr), an ex-con and master thief assumes the identity of a murdered sheriff where he continues his criminal activities. His past seems to haunt him by those he betrayed years earlier. This ex-con imposes his own brand of justice where violence erupts at every turn in the not so quiet Amish town, Banshee, Pennsylvania.

That does sound like it's got some potential.

It's seriously amazing. Every episode has been great so far. The acting is great, the action scenes are amazingly done, and the story, while it seems silly reading it....feels a lot more real when watching.

Worth a shot for anybody who likes action/drama-style shows.

Good time for TV.

Been watching WW2 in HD and Vietnam in HD but what I really want is Planet Earth.......which is one of my favorite documentaries if not my all time favorite.

If you haven't seen BBC's Planet Earth do yourself a favor and do so.

If you liked Orange is the new black, check out Wentworth (2 seasons) on Netflix. I stumbled across it last month and have never heard anyone I know talk about it. Its an Australian tv show..I wasn't big on the accents at first, but didn't even notice them after a couple of episodes. My only complaint is there are several similar plots to Orange, but I may have liked it better...

OITNB, Luther and The Killing are all tremendous options to binge watch.

SOA and Dexter and some others are tremendous but it'd take a lot of commitment to binge watch them.

Best show I ever binge watched was The Sopranos on DVD.

Some cool suggestions above I'll have to add to my list and try to watch them.
I have meant to watch Longmire but have too many other shows going at once.
