We will be just as focused if not more. Wins and chemistry do that.

Agree wholeheartedly -- in another post, I predicted a score of Cowboys, 30, Cleveland 17.

Here's hoping it materializes, despite my paranoid fears of an overconfident letdown. ;)

Pryor and Coleman are both vey talented. If we give mccown time in the pocket, I think it's gonna be a high scoring game. Cowboys win 31-27.

Kessler isn't too bad either.

Coleman coming back is kind of a big deal.

He was lights out the first two games this year.

You said this thing though. "Time in the pocket".

Isn't that what we do?

That is why I would prefer Kessler.

At least we could depend on his lack of arm strength.

Should be interesting to see what Cleveland does.

This is pretty much their Super Bowl.

On the other hand, I can definitely seem them phoning their performances in from here on out. Compared to us (and every other team in the league with playoff chances -- basically everyone except the Browns), the Browns as a team really have nothing to play for (except for pride perhaps).

To know that you're virtually eliminated from playoff contention this early in the season would make it difficult for anyone to give 110% effort for the remainder of the season, no matter how much of a competitor you might be, no matter how much you love the game, etc. Obviously the Browns players will all look the part when they take the field this Sunday, and as professionals they won't fold completely even if they were 0-15 going into week 17. But professionals or not, they're still human and you still gotta think that it will considerably affect them mentally.

I'm not saying that it's a foregone conclusion that the Browns will play uninspired ball the rest of the season, but I think that we have a lot more to play for right now compared to the Browns, and I suspect it will show on the field.

I don't see the Browns phoning it in, there's coaches and players with jobs on the line. When you're 0-7 heads are going to roll and as a player you better have some pretty good game tape or you'll be gone and no other team may want you. There's more than just pride at stake, careers are at stake and no one wants to be part of a winless team. The Browns have played some very close games this season and have put up some points. Of their 7 losses, 5 were by one score including an OT loss to the Ravens. We have issues defensively especially with Church and Mo out so the Browns are more than capable of scoring some points on us and if we're not focused and ready to play we'll end up in a dog fight.

We're likely to hit a few bumps the second half of the season and we don't want to be looking back at this game as the one that helped cost us the #1 seed, the division title or a playoff birth. The NFL is an any given Sunday league and the Cowboys are not near good enough defensively to take any team for granted or they'll get beat. In the Browns 7 losses only 3 were blowouts, the rest were competitive games. A fumble here or an INT there along with a couple of costly penalties is all it can take to cost you game against any team in the league especially when you're playing on the road.

Remember losing to the winless Bills in 1984? Cost us a playoff berth.

That was one of the games that helped cost us a playoff birth. Losing the final 2 games when we knew what we needed to do didn't help. Any time you miss the playoffs by a game you always look back at a loss to a bad team you should have beaten. The Bills ended up 2-14 that season.

I don't think the Cowboys will forget the 2015 season and I think that will keep the Cowboys focused.
