Never Gonna Stop... Mocking

I believe we could trade next years first but I don't know if it will involve giving up our 2nd. Maybe 3rd and 5th and it wouldn't be that high to the Vikings.

Probably a pick in the 22-32 range.

But if it would be with our 2nd the Vikings could believe Mallett would be there at that pick and they would have 2 2nds this year to get him.

If there's 1 team i'm afraid that Mallett is going to go to it is the Vikings.

They have so many players that would be around him that it could help him through his rookie season.

2 stud play making WR's and the unstoppable force at running back. A very good OL.

A solid defense to get the ball back to the offense.

I think if Minnesota did trade their first to us it would because they want Mallett and feel he would be there late first/top of 2nd and having 2 seconds and a 3rd is more than enough ammunition to move back up for him if need be.

This draft scenario does have realistic possibility.

I just can't see picking a RT at #12. ON a team of stars with a crazy payroll, can you afford to pay both OT's that kind of money? We have no choice but pay Free big money because he's proven himself on both sides and can take a walk for big money soon.

Once we give Free his money, he's the LT in my opinion...period. Therefore, you don't need perhaps the top OT in the draft, a guy who will be drafted and paid like a LT at #12.

I would prefer to move down to the 20's and get a solid RT from among the other guys that teams are not sure about at LT.

If I think Young stands any chance of developing the way Free did at RT, I opt for one of the top OG's who can start right away.

#6. Patrick Peterson, CB, LSU, 6'0", 219. From day 1 the starting LCB. I believe he will be the best CB in the NFL and fast. He is a physical specimen the likes of which other teams will drool.

Dallas trades pick #40 and next year's 1st round pick for pick #12 from the Vikings.

#12. Tyron Smith, OT, USC, 6'5", 310.
From day 1 the starting RT on this team and a prized bull. Immediately helps the run and passing games and youth movement.

Ha! Payday! :laugh2:

My guess is the Vikings wouldn't trade just because we already had Peterson and didn't want to give us Peterson and Smith.

Might as well close the draft down after those two picks. :laugh2:

I can definitely see us trading back into the first round, but I see it happening far lower in the round and for someone like Pouncey or JJ Watt

Don't get cute, picking only 2 players in the top 100. Go for five of them!

;)

Those two players will look great in the courtroom for the next year. Don't trade away next year's number one, when football still might not happen.

I see trading up into the bottom third of the first for an OT. I take Prince at 12 if I can't trade up for PP. I'd then trade up for an OT in the first. Should be one or two left in the bottom of the first.

Ahmad Black reminds me a lot of what people thought about Brandon Flowers a few years ago. Too slow, too small, not going to cut it in the secondary.

All that being said, you can't turn on a Florida game and not fine Black making plays all over the field in a tough SEC conference.
