Never heard so many "Yeah, But(s)"...

Starting on the internet last night, to this mornings papers, and all day long on ESPN and the local sports radio shows.............................
I've never heard so many "Not taking anything away from Dallas, but (the refs, Farve hurt, injuries, etc, etc, etc,....)
I've never see such an onslaught of "Yeah, Dallas won, BUT........
I've never hears so much about "Yeah, but they'll NEVER beat the Patriots....."

Everything and anything BUT the usual giving no credit to Dallas. Every excuse under the Sun how it really wasn't "all that" and NOW, ALL OF A SUDDEN LIKE, the game didn't mean that much....


It was like watching CNN, NBC or MSNBC after a Republican election victory....

Can you imagine the difference if Green Bay has won the game? ALL the talk today would be about how Green Bay COULD VERY WELL beat New England. How so superior they are to the rest of the NFC. How the NFC is a one-horse show now. All I heard all day about "home field advantage" is how Dallas DOESN'T have it locked up yet. If the Packers had won, that's all you'd hear. That, and the love fest with Farve going to a Super Bowl.

It was like someone died out there today.............all over the media. I know it's beating the same old drum, but it's so thick you could cut it with a knife.

I can't wait to see the look on all those spinners, doubters and just plain haters' faces when the Cowboys hoist the Lombardi trophy in Feb., they'll puke all over their shiny ESPN studio desks.......Oh and they'll have to say "Dallas has now passed San Francisco and Pittsburgh with their 6th Superbowl title, now the all time leaders in Superbowl victorys!" Can't wait to hear it!

I love it when the rest of the league hates us. This new generation is irritating when they whine about a lack of respect from the media or fans of other teams. I'm worried when people say nice things about you. It means they are not intimidated by you and don't respect you. When they start spewing hate, it means they are jealous and respect you. Look at the Patriots. Everyone hates them right now but a lot of that is due to jealousy. Sure, they cheated but let's be honest, a part of our dislike for them is because they are so good.

I say let them use all the excuses they want...we won the game and we have the edge over them for now.
Letting the media plant those excuses in the Packers head will only help our chances in a rematch.

Very well put, J-Dog. Let them go on and on with the Woodson and KGB excuses. The truth is Green Bay had no answer for the Dallas offense. I'll take a completely healthy Dallas team over a completely healthy Green Bay team anyday. Coming into the game, the media went on and on about Green Bay's receivers. It was as if all we had was TO and Witten, in ther minds. Little did they know that Crayton, Austin and Fasano would rise up in this one. And we didn't even unleash Tony Curtis on them, lol. We have a quite the passing attack ourselves, in case they hadn't noticed.

This year has been one long succession of learning events for non-Cowboy followers. Because we actually give a crap about this team we are -- collectively speaking, mind you -- the experts. So it's not surprising that The Others figured out several games too late that Romo wasn't going to melt into goo because of the Seattle game; that the D was going to provide more pressure this year; that the O-line was going to be good; that JG would make a great coordinator; that this offense is a legitimate powerhouse.

And then combine that with the conscious or subconscious needs some people seem to have for the Cowboys to remain mediocre and we're left with this exaggerated mess of people following over themselves to declare the Green Bay Packers a complete team because they now have a running game.

you guys are paranoid. Nobody picked the Packers to win and the fact that the Cowboys won validated their predictions. I have not heard ifs, ands or buts. Everybody said before the game and after the game the Cowboys were superior and it was proved on the field. The refs did not affect the outcome of the game unless they were disguised as defensive linemen and DBs for the Packers. Now if only somebody only would start a thread crying that "nobody respects us" the day would be complete.

You obviously don't listen to Sirius NFL radio, huh? If so, you would realize how ridiculous your post is.
