Never thought we'd be this bad

For all the money Jerruh has laid out we should be better than this.

So other owners that spend as much or more should have great teams then? We have not spent tons of cash relative to other teams. What exactly are you talking about?

Come on guys, you have to admitt, that first half of football was pretty hard to stomach.

It was.

But many of us realize that you have to play the entire game. Posts like the one that started this thread are just crazy overreactions that make this board suck. In my experience, folks who go overboard after a few plays usually don't know anything about the game.

Just to clarify, recently you had another pick of yourself in your sig, aside from the one in the avatar. In that picture, you had a casper type complexion (much like mine), and in your avi, you are ummm, well, copperish? The contrast in the two makes your avi look as if you have some sort of makeup on to darken your face.

I am in no way trying to flame you, your wife/lady is very pretty and it looks as if she in military, and that alone makes her my hero. I just wanted to clear up what my take on the "makeup" comments was.

I have no problem with the original post. Sure, the game was far from over and I was pretty sure we would win, but we can't afford to be that inconsistant. Especially against the better teams out there. You don't show up for one of two halfs and expect to win.

Today we killed a team we should have killed. Sure, it feels good and I am enjoying it, but the team still has a lot to prove. We still don't have that big win against a good team. And like Tass said, if THAT keeps up we will indeed be around the 8-8 mark. Here's hoping we build a little momentum though.

But every game "matters". I don't care who the opponent is. In the parody that the NFL has become, I don't want our team falling asleep on anybody. That is what leads to the inconsistencies. Our mind should be in the game for 60 minutes of football. If not, we are looking at a repeat of last season and the return of the Cardiac Boys. And I for one, refuse to go through that again.

Hopefully this was not for me, as I tried to come across with nothing but respect in my post. As I said, very pretty lady. In addition, the fact that she is military makes her a/my hero. I have nothing but the most respect possible for anyone who serves our country, as well as for their families that sacrifice so that their loved ones can serve our country.

AND many of us realized that after the first half we were down by all of 3 points. We did that by glancing at the scoreboard, something the pessimists are apparently incapable of.

Cool, thanks. Well, to clarify: The pic of us at the dinner was taken here in Texas after we'd lived here for a few years. The Avi pic was taken years ago in Hawaii (where we are from). Living in Hawaii with the year-round sun tends to make even us white guys pretty dark all year long.

Well, you know how it is. Whenever people are passionate and they are on opposite sides of an argument people either notice or want to get involved. Only thing that irked me is some questioning my fan loyalty. The whole reason I am so concerned is because I am a fan and I want us to win!
