    Serious post:
Johnny Walker Blue is a fantastic Scotch that's way beyond even my price range, but honestly I like JW Green better.
It's a more intense experience. JW Blue (Even the Louie the XVIII bottle) is wonderful and smooth like silk covered canvass, but I love the punch in the face that JW Green smacks you with.

I used to work for Western Beverages in Austin at both Costco's years ago.
I was a bit of a local celebrity as my alcoholic acumen was well known and I was brutally honest about liquor no matter what we were trying to push.

Shoot- I told Dan Akroyd in his face his Skull Vodka was a magnificent joke and good for nothing but Halloween decoration with that beautiful bottle during a bottle signing at a Spec's in Southwest Austin.
Filtering Vodka through crushed crystal... give me a break.
    He respected my candor.

I befriended the official Johnny Walker rep during one of his visits (straight from Scotland, old guy who was a party a minute. Loved that thick accent. Very cool cat.) and he straight up opened a 750mL of JW Blue and gave it out as samples at the WB.
    No joke.
And what was incredible, yet unsurprising was that nobody, but for a select few who came in even tried what he was offering.
    They had no clue.
I drank til I was red in the face. I was known to get a bit umm... plastered on the clock, but I was always totally in control (ha!) so my boss tolerated me (he was too nice, but I understood that I literally helped his bottom line).
I digress: That guy gave me the bottle of JW Blue and all that was left over in it (Yup- I know that is very illegal in the State of Texas, but back then I didn't give a flying flip. I guess you could argue that I still don't).
He also opened a bottle of Green and Gold and he gave me all three bottles to take home. Oh- and a bottle of only one shot drank Dalwhinnie.

I became an avid fan of Johnny Walks and I've had more than at least two bottle of every...err... version. I mean- they're all blends with different ages and themes of selection really.
And I have to say am a true fan of the JW Green. I love the intensity without the insane amount of smokiness that some Scotches will blast you with like an Oban.
Lord- that is like licking Clint Eastwood's face...

So I respect Jerry saying that Johnny Walks Blue is really good- especially from a rich person that believes that image is everything, but I have to respectfully say that I believe that JW Blue is wonderful, but Green is much better.

Not that anybody here cares and all... I just made an executive decision to state my mind on this extremely important subject on a Dallas Cowboy NFL Board.

Sadly, it seems to be the case, the damn idiot doesn't realize how loved he'd be if gave others credit, made winning the #1 priority and brought whomever it took to get the team back on top, problem is I don't think there are any more slam dunk hires that like Parcells, etc.... at least the jerruh could identify. I wish I could find the quote where jerruh scoffed at Sean Payton and called him a goofball

Great story, and it's a crying shame this thread was moved. As if this wasn't what it's really all about, after all.

I dont think he'd be loved now even if we won 3 SB's in a row. Way too many years of Jerry being Jerry and doing it his way. Everybody thinks he's an idiot and he only has himself to blame for that. Almost 2 decades of ineptness is unforgivable in the minds of most fans. He can never do anything to change people's perception, its too late for that. That ship sailed so long ago it sank. He'll forever be remembered as a buffoon GM no matter what happens from here on out.

You forget the fickleness of fans.
Just ask the fans of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Ha ha ha! That guy with the scarf and Jerry Jerr blasting his AWESOME pecs...
    Look at those clear eyes:
Jerry doesn't even look like he's begun to fight yet- that might be only his fourth round and he's releasing the chestal fury already!
I bet he and I could have a darn good time with some proper party planning.
    Minus the scarf guy...

Love may be a strong word but I think people would embrace a humble jerry who stepped away from interviews, hired strong coaches who spoke for the team and in whom the players knew they were accountable to. Obviously they'd have to be successful but if he number one priority became winning and hard-nosed football and not all this glitz & glamour and Cowboys lifestyle nonsense then I think fans would be ecstatic and the Cowboy haters would be demoralized yet still watching and hoping for failure.

Winning is like a rising tide that lifts all boats, get back to wining and building a team that is tough and a team to be reckoned with and Jerry will make even more money and get credit for changing his ways and building an organization fans can be proud of and thrilled to watch.

Having said this, its obviously a moot point because there is no way in hell jerry will ever do this, he seems more dug in than ever

I actually don't think Jerry has it in him to be humble about anything. His ego drives pretty much everything he does.

Your post was great & very true.

Jerry's not going to change so you have to like the team despite that old coot. It's been that way for so many years now.
