New Camaro or New Mustang?

Gee, that's not a stereotype.

When you see one every day...it is not a stereotype.

If I said EVERY truck with big tires has the flag on it, then that would be a stereo type.

However since I see one every day, a guy who lives down the road from me, who IS a grit and DOES have a confederate flag in his back window...well you get the picture.

I also had a guy across the road from me that for a short time had a vehicle that was similar to an el camino but was some kind of dodge. Either way it was green and yellow and had a big greenbay G on the hood...that used to make me want to hurl as well, but lucky for me it was either trashed or sold as I have not seen it since right after the holidays.

I vote Mustang. As BP knows, I bought one last month and fell in love with it the moment I saw it.

Now the bad news..... Get ready BP, you might want to sit down. You don't have to be jealous of the Stang anymore...

3 weeks after I got the stang, we had a historical hail storm here. We had hail the size of tennis balls, baseballs and larger here. The hail storm lasted 20+ minutes. My boyfriend and I were both out in our vehicles when the storm hit. We both talked to our insurance adjusters today...

His Dodge 3500 Cummins Diesel dual recieved 9800.00 in damage... Not bad for a 40,000.00 dollar vehicle. He'll be getting it fixed soon.

But.... Here's where you sit down BP...

My Mustang.. sniff, sniff - A TOTAL LOSS. I hadn't even made a first payment on the car before the storm. The adjuster said my Mustang had the worst damage of any car he saw from the storm. I had over 54 dents that could hold a few tablespoons of water, the seals on the electric doors were breached and water did and will get into the electrical. The paint job was shot, the top, hood, trunk and doors look like they were beaten by a sledge hammer, the windshield is gone and there was damage to the dash from after the windshield busted out. Estimated damage.. 90% of value. I beat Cowboys truck in cost and damage

Excuse me while I go cry now....

That sucks, Princess. What year is (or shall I say was?) the mustang?

IMO you should save your money and wait for the new Challenger to come out.

That's the gayest thing you can do to a truck. It's no different then taking a RBs legs away.

What really pisses me off is when someone drives something like a Ford F-350 and they come up on a speed bump, and slow down to nothing as if they were going over the hop on a little prissy sports car. New rule: If you buy a bad arse up-in-the-air $50,000+ truck, you have to drive like you've got a pair.

I'm back in the 98 Stang, which was also a total, but I'm retaining it and fixing it.
Looks like this one

I'll end up with a new one again, and give the 98 to Erik when he is old enough to drive... 1 1/2 more years... YIKES

LMAO!!! I know what you mean. I've got a F-150 FX4 and the only time I drive it "Gentle" is when I've got my dogs in the back. Don't want them flying outta the truck. lol

Princess, you should get yourself a classic musclecar Stang and fix that up. Do a resto/mod to it. That's basically an old car restored, but with modern luxuries added to it. That's what I'll be doing to my Charger.

My very first car was a 65 Red Conv. Mustang that I bought for 2500. I should have kept it. I've actually thought about getting another one.

THAT SUCKS CBP!!!

Man I feel for you...such a waste of a great looking car.

:(

I actually threw up a bit in my mouth reading that...horrible.

No question, Go with a Mustang. Personally I own One, its a 1994 Red Mustang, V8. I'm about ur age, 18 so yeah I think you'll love it! Believe me.

JMO.

I like the new mustangs (although they're a dime a dozen right now) and I like the style of this new Camaro. GM had its chance to compete with the GTO but they decided to get lazy and put out what I call the Super Sized Grand Prix. Lots of power but it looks like it should be front-wheel drive. C'mon guys...it's the GTO for crying out loud!

Here's to the return to the F-Body's.

Mustangs suck.

I don't really like the new Camaro either.

Spend that same $20,000 on a real muscle car. You'll have the styling, the ammenities and the grandfather laws.

For me it's the camaro...I loved the 69' version, and I really like the one I saw at the L.A Auto show.

You know what would make the US give them even more of an a**whooping? If we built more retro cars... AND Japan started building retro cars. :D

The new Mustangs look really sharp, but I work for GM and there is no way I would bite the hand that feeds me.

Camaro all the way for me.

But the Corvette stills owns both.

Corvettes are awesome. I have to admit. even tho Mustangs are my car.:)
